Scalpers hate my earrings (Story Time)

I make these top loader earrings, and wear different cards in them to every show I go to. They're how everyone recognizes me lol.

I once had a First Edition Shining Magikarp in one and a Delta Species Mew in the other while I was walking around collect a con. In total my ears were carrying vaguely $600. (Give or take)

One vendor, complimented my earrings and then asked why I didn't have them graded. I told him I'd rather do things with my cards than let them sit forever. This guy started to get real upset with me that I refused to put bulk in my earrings. He offered to buy the cards off me because I was "mistreating them" and should know the true value of the cards. I declined his offer and he said "Okay, suit yourself, ruin them for all I care." And then proceeded to be VERY rude to me and the people I was with.

Is this REALLY all too different than wearing expensive jewelry?

Edit: I don't always wear expensive cards in them, I just like the attention lmao it's the crying over cardboard that gets me.

Edit 3: Thanks to everyone who's interested in making these! (And thank you for the recommendations to display them differently!) Here's how I make them!

Drill into the top loader corners, add the earring bits (you can buy them and O rings from Walmart) make sure the cards sit outwards from your neck or you're gonna turn your head and get stabbed in the neck. (They flipped over in the picture) They do flip so it's going to happen regardless, but usually if they are facing away from your neck it happens less :) I'm glad everyone's interested

This is how I tip my budtenders!

DON'T KILL ME I TIP IN CASH TOO

My usual Dispo loves it whenever I come in and tip them with these cards. They have a stack of the first few I've ever given them in their work lockers! And some even have the very first I tipped them with! It's my favorite thing, to make everyone smile with these.

((I apologize for the handwriting, I specifically make my budtenders cards while I'm high))

I keep *regular* ones in my wallet to tip baristas, servers, and other workers. I also have some as compliments or just little reminders that I give to people I meet :)

AITA for not driving my brother to work

My brother (24) and I (26F) have been living altogether with our dad for the last year since his ex broke up with him. I've been living with my dad for the last four years, helping out with bills and groceries and things (it's barely possible to live alone anymore). My brother cannot drive, has some anger issues, and spends most of his time inside on his PC.

Now when his gf broke up with him, they worked an hour away, so he quit his job there. I said I could get him back into my job (he used to work with me) for a while to still have money until he gets on his feet, and he agreed. I work 40 hours a week, first shift and then I go home, and drive him to work in the afternoons on the days he works (3-4 daysa week).

Recently he had a meltdown, hitting walls and whatnot, and began blaming me for why he can't drive, get another job, or do anything around our house. I've given him every opportunity to use my car. I've told him on multiple occasions just to ask and he's never once asked. He gets upset when I tell him to drive. (He's had his permit for two years) My brother said that because I hired him back in so fast he never had or has time to job search. He has been putting off going to therapy - whenever I would go, and he happened to be free, id ask if he wanted to go and get registered for intake, it was usually a no. Because he "didn't feel like it". And then as for things around the house, I see him on Discord every day playing games for practically all hours of the day. And he's told me when he's not doing anything he's sleeping. He maybe does the dishes.

He's had two screaming fits in the last five days where I've been the target, and I really don't know what led up to this. I've been understanding of his anger issues because of the way our mom raised us, but he's 24 and is doing nothing to better himself.

Today, I made him walk in heat advisory weather. He hadn't talked to me in a normal tone, had not apologized for throwing blame, and doesn't acknowledge me half the time. He just assumed I'd drive him to work. While I do feel bad, I'm tired of giving him my time, energy, and resources I have been over the last year. (And before this.) I haven't gotten an apology, and even if I do I don't want to accept it until I see some active and continuing work/change. AITA?

🍃💨 High Date night?

The boyfriend and I are planning on getting high together tomorrow night, (i am a frequent smoker. He is not.) We usually just sit and watch things when we smoke together, but what are some fun things to do *together* while high?
