When you go to the Monument at the tower DO NOT buy the first set you see, go look around at the various booths, they all have unique sets in them. I jumped the gun but the Hakke set is something I will not complain about whatsoever.

Sorry yall I know next to nothing about these kinds of cameras so bear with me. My job has asked me (I know how to turn on computers thus I am the IT man) to see if I can get an outdoor camera working. The camera ends with an RJ45 jack that hangs in the rafters. Its probably at least 50ft long, maybe even longer. What would I need to be able to test this? I'm guessing some sort of PoE type switch that has enough juice to push that far would be first, but I also imagine some software to translate the data into a useable signal on a TV correct? The rest of our camera system have been established for years and long before I ever joined on top of the person who supervised the project is long gone too. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
