A way to separate midi controls for Reaper and for Analog Lab?

All I have besides Reaper (expired free trial) is an Arturia Minilab 3. I use two channels, 1 for controlling basic functions in Reaper itself, and 2 for using with Analog Lab V. The problem is, I can't seem to find a way to independently use Analog Lab V without using anything in Reaper, like if I use a slider in Analog, it'd trigger in Reaper. How do I fix this?

Trying to recreate this song to start learning. How would you describe parts of this song so I know what to look up/into?

(I'm terrible with describing things, please bear with me the best you can. And no, I'm not learning English, it's my native language, I'm just, again, bad with my words) One suggestion to learning music production I've seen is recreating songs, so I decided to do that. I picked this one because I'm hyper fixated on it at the moment. I kinda have ideas on how I can at least mimic some of the sounds.

That is, SOME of the sounds. The "deep booming sound" that sounds like a guitar sorta. I have no idea on where to get started with that.
