19M trying to leave a toxic home situation and build a stable life

I’m 19 years old and I’ve been dealing with a difficult home situation for a long time. My parents separated when I was young and I basically grew up learning how to handle everything alone. I’ve spent years taking responsibility, helping others, and trying to stay strong mentally.

Lately things at home have become exhausting. My mother often tells me to leave the house and there’s a lot of mental pressure and stress. I don’t really feel peace at home anymore. I try to stay calm, go to the gym, read, reflect, and focus on improving myself instead of reacting emotionally.

The positive side is that I still have goals and vision for my future. I want a stable life: work, save money, invest, train, build a peaceful home, and become financially independent one day. I’ve worked before and honestly earning my own money gave me a feeling of freedom and peace.

Right now I’m finishing the last months of school while also trying to find work and prepare myself to become independent. My girlfriend and her family have been supportive and I may temporarily stay there while I rebuild my situation.

I’m mainly posting this because I want advice from people who had to rebuild their life from difficult family situations at a young age. What helped you mentally and financially in the beginning?
