Goods train pushing through Chirala station (5th July 2026)
A WAG9 (possibly, it was too fast to see the engine number or identify the type) towing freight carriages going through Chirala station. Loved the sound. Hope you all like it too.

The photo shows the ruins of Dhanushkodi railway station. This stone structure (most likely the support of a water tank) is one of the two reminders that there was a thriving town with a railway station, church, post office, school, and port facilities. Dhanushkodi, located on the southeastern tip of Pamban Island in Tamil Nadu was destroyed by the devastating 1964 Rameswaram cyclone on 22 December 1964.
The cyclone washed away a passenger train (the Pamban–Dhanushkodi train), causing one of India's deadliest railway disasters.
WAP-4 #22624 is a 5350 HP broad-gauge electric locomotive built by Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW). The AJJ printed in the front represents the Arakkonam Junction Loco Shed. The SR refers to Southern Railways. I don't remember which railway station I took this picture, as it's been more than 6 months and I had disabled location in the phone to save battery.
I am sure most of you already know this, but I recently got to know that the two pipes hanging on the front of the locomotive is the Brake Pipe and the Feed Pipe.
