Allo taken with food
My meds say take with or just after food with a full glass of water.
I want to start doing 48-72h water fasts once or twice a month, has anyone else done this or taken the meds without food?

If someone ran 5k three times a week on the treadmill, could they never have to do weights on their legs?

That doesn't seem too bad does it? I've gone ahead and started Allopurinol, only 100mg for now till my next blood results come back in 4 weeks.
Other tests have come back slightly high too, cholesterol etc, but hoping to be more active and less booze this coming month.
I decided to start taking these meds because my last flare up lingered for a bit then swapped to the top of my other foot for the first time.
I've finally moved my butt from the sofa to go to the gym. Air con but I was still a sweaty dumpling.
Roll on R2 Wednesday 👍
I've completed it before, many moons ago, but once completed, I stopped. I've restarted it many times but used excuses to never complete it again.
This time, I will jog real slow, listen to some music and try to enjoy the experience. Once completed, I will maintain with 2-3 runs a week, this is the plan, wish me luck 🤞
You have two slices of white bread, a little bit of butter and some mature cheddar cheese left in your fridge. What flavour crisps are you adding to the boring cheese sandwich to jazz it up?
Hello all, I had my first flare up about 7 years ago, and ever since, roughly 1 a year since, always on my right big toe.
My doc said not to bother taking anything apart from naproxen because they were a year apart.
This last one I had, was the worst one since my first. This time the doc mentioned allo but I declined, but said I would think about it. This last one lasted longer than usual, then about a week after it subsided, I now think I have it on my other foot and slightly in the knee too.
But this new one on my left foot is where my shoelaces would sit, but there is no redness or swelling, could it still be gout? I can't really walk on it, feels like it's broken.
Once I get my blood work done, I think I'm going to take up the docs advice and start on the allo.
I'm still going as I have the dentist in about an hour and I'm a bit worried about having the trots when I eat again. Whilst on that subject, do I have to worry about what I eat to break my fast? I was thinking of two boiled eggs with salt and mashed up with some butter, or do you suggest I go and get some bone broth first? TIA.
Hello all, I'm fairly new to fasting and have been doing intermittent, omad, carnivore, a few 36h but would love to try a 72h next. Possibly even a 5-7 day one in the near future.
I was wondering if anyone from the UK has bought some electrolytes off Amazon and has any recommendations. TIA.
