Looking to move here as two young women, so please include thoughts on safety!
My roommate and I are looking for a new apartment in DC, and we are trying to figure out what neighborhoods are actually safe when it comes to apartment buildings near a metro. We have heard mixed things about Columbia Heights, Mt. Vernon Square, etc and would love to know what neighborhoods you think are safest to live in versus which ones are maybe not the best for two young women in DC! We have lived here for a while but exploring neighborhoods is super different than living in them. Thanks!
Hi all! Not expecting to find much but figured I’d try. Looking for recs for places for rent that are 2 bed 2 baths, within 10-15 mins walk of metro (ideally red, blue, orange, or silver line), has covered parking or a garage there or nearby, and under $3500 after utilities. My roommate and I are two young adult women so looking for a place that is in a safe enough area for that! Looking within DC, Bethesda/Chevy Chase, and NoVa Rosslyn through Clarendon area.
If you have a building you love, a building somebody else you know loves, recs on even best places to find apartments (so far using Zillow, apartments.com, Redfin, and Hotpads as well as a bunch of Facebook groups) I would love to hear if you think you know of any places that might fit into our criteria!
