CVTs

I keep hearing all this negative press about CVTs. I have a Xtronic CVT, but I heard that the newer models Nissans CVTs are much better. I’m trying to figure out the year models that many have been having terrible experiences with them. Anyone has any idea, I’m new to Nissan and CVT transmissions. All the negative press about them is scaring me.

New Nissan 2023 Owner

Just have a quick question to ask. I’m well aware of the CVT transmission and I heard it’s recommend to drain and fill every 30k-60k but preferably every 30k miles. Called the Nissan Dealership, was told it’s recommended but not required. Sounds like a load of BS as I plan to do every 30k.

Just wondering if it’s fine if I push it to 40k miles to drain and fill? My car has only 33k miles didn’t get any answer if they performed it on the car before. Is it safe to push to 40k to drain and fill or should I try to stick to the 30k mark?

By the way I love this car, a very smooth ride. Not sure why it gets all the hate.

Fraudulent

Watching the Knicks put absolute belt to ass to the 76ers in a timely fashion. Now they get to coast and rest till the ECF. Which raises even more questions about how despite Celtics record. How fraudulent and flawed they were. Still wrapping my head around being up 3-1 and losing the series. Though I think there’s many positives that’ll come from the loss we took. The way Brad was speaking during the exit interview. He’s over this 3 ball variance nonsense and looking to make quite a shake up to the roster.

Let’s just remember despite the unfortunate L, we did still overachieved this season. Just sucks to go out the way they did.
