Woosh! Bored Wizard appears. Apparently he has nothing better to do on a Friday night. He offers a deal. You can cure one ailment (physical or psychological) that you currently have. It will completely go away. This does not include aging and cannot make you immortal. It also cannot give you super-human abilities. It can only cure a diagnosed physical or psychological condition you currently have.

In exchange, you must select one of the following:

1. Every time you lie, your nose grows like Pinocchio (a 12 inch nose) and stays that way for 1 day.

2. Any time you have an unkind thought about someone, you grow devil horns (6 inch bright red horns). They stay in place for 1 day.

3. All domesticated animals (pets) will hate you. Any time you come within 15 ft of a pet, they actively try to attack you. This includes any pets you currently own.

4. Children are afraid of you. Any time you come within 15 ft of a child, they start screaming and trying to get away from you. This includes your own children.

5. You lose the ability to smile. Even if you are happy, you have lost the ability to do anything but frown and scowl. You can laugh, but it seems diabolical and weird because there is no smiling involved.

You cannot use the deal to fix any of the five options after the fact. You pick your ailment, then you pick one of the five options.

Boom! The bored Wizard appears. he offers you a deal. You will get $500,000, tax free.

However, to get the money, you will need to be locked in a 15x15 room with a famous person you strongly dislike for 10 days. This can be a movie star, politician, musician, or someone infamous for their actions - they just need to be famous enough that the majority of people in your country know who they are. You also have to actively dislike them - the Wizard will know if you try to lie in order to be locked up with your favorite celeb and call off the deal.

Time will stand still for both you and the famous person while you are locked in the room.

In the room, there are two folding chairs, a table, and two cots for sleeping along with a bathroom. There's a water cooler/dispenser in the room, and food (tailored to both of your dietary preferences) will be delivered 3x per day. If you require medications, that will be delivered as well.

You are allowed to sleep 8 hours per day. The rest of the time, you and the famous person must have a conversation (for at least 45 minutes out of every hour). You can ask them questions, and they will magically be 100% honest, and vice versa. No yelling or screaming - conversations should be at a normal volume.

The famous person cannot physically harm you, nor can you physically harm them while in the room (that includes hoarding your medications to try to poison them). Neither of you can physically touch the other. The famous person will completely forget the event after they are released.

You cannot take in any recording devices, notebooks/writing utensils or electronics. You can tell people once you leave the room what they said, however, you won't have any proof of the interaction.

Poof! The bored wizard appears. He wants to offer you a deal. He will give you 1 million dollars, tax free. In order to take this deal, however, you need to be implanted with an embryo, carry the fetus for 9 months, and give birth to a baby, which you will immediately have to give up when it is born (basic surrogacy situation). Once the baby is born and placed with the parents, you can start the process all over again.

You are guaranteed to have no complications, will be given full medical/pre-natal care, and the baby will be healthy. You will not know anything about the parents you will be giving the baby to. All your expenses related to the pregnancy will be covered by the Wizard, and not deducted from your million.

You will have all the normal pregnancy side effects (morning sickness, cravings, etc.). Your body will be subject to the normal impacts of pregnancy (stretch marks, weight gain, the works).

If you are a male assigned at birth, you will magically have a functional uterus, and will have the baby delivered via C-Section when it is to term. If you a female assigned at birth, you can opt for a C-Section if you choose, or opt for a regular delivery.

You can do this process as many times as you choose.

Abracadabra! Bored wizard appears, and offers you a deal. For the next ten years, you will have access to free food, drink, and transportation fuel for your own personal consumption (and that of your current immediate family, e.g. spouse and kids). Whenever you want food or drink, you just text the magic Wizard and the food/drink is delivered within the hour. Your fuel tank (or battery if you are driving an EV) never runs out. You cannot resell food or drink for profit or give it away as charity, or siphon off gas to sell/give away either.

In exchange, your house is...stuck in time and could potentially be hoarded. Aside from actual garbage (like food waste, single use containers, hygiene products, etc.), anything you get rid of will magically appear again, and will be duplicated. Get rid of a couch? 2 of the same couch show back up. Toss your old shoes? 2 pairs of the same shoes show up. You are allowed to shove everything into one room, of course. You cannot sell any of your possessions either. If you try to sell them, your free food/fuel deal will be terminated and your possession will suddenly disappear - and be replaced by 40 live bunnies. You also cannot move out of the house - the hoard will follow you.

Like I said, the Wizard is bored (and maybe a little nuts).

Do you take the deal?

There's plenty of media that I watched/listened to as a kid or a teen that I would consider distasteful now if I saw/heard it for the first time. Often it is stuff that just didn't age well, has certain themes, or is just terrible.

Some examples - I used to watch Gone With the Wind (and read the book) a lot with my mom. Yeah, I know it's problematic - but sometimes I do I rewatch when I am feeling nostalgic.

Another is Veggie Tales. If you are rolling your eyes right now, that's warranted. However, on occasion I might blast one of the 90s "Silly Songs With Larry" if I am in a goofy mood. "My Cheeseburger" is a bop.

A couple times a year I might even queue up POD or DC Talk on Spotify just for fun.

My adult brain wouldn't pick this media to consume, but sometimes a little is nostalgia fun.

Whabam! The bored Wizard appears and offers you a "gift". You can think back on your life to one decision you made that you wish you had chosen differently. Buying a house, getting married, having a kid, going to college, taking/quitting a specific job - sky is (almost) the limit.

This must be what at the time was a major life decision for you. It cannot be something like "I would go back in time and invest $$$ in bitcoin, purchase property when the market crashed, buy a certain stock low" - you get the drift. You can only change something like that if you legitimately made an active decision about it in the past, and the Wizard will know if you are lying. It also needs to have been made at least 5 years ago. If you try to fool the Wizard, he will randomly pick a decision for you and change it (he's kind of an AH).

You won't be able to know ahead of time how changing that decision will impact your current life. You have no time to prepare. if you say yes, all the changes will be immediate and no reversing it once it is done.
