Is SUP difficult to learn?

I’m a 54m who is in very good shape, lift weights 4-5 times a week and trail run and do rucking for cardio 20 plus miles a week. I hiking, rucking, have done some kayaking and like to backpack. I’ve been reading up on SUP and I’m curious if it’s crazy difficult to learn to stand and paddle these boards? Or should I stick with kayaking? Any recommendations on boards? I have used a paddle north kayak before and liked it. Are their paddle boards worth it or would something else be better suited for a beginner? Any particular type or length of board better suited for a novice ? Thanks.

Beautiful Texas afternoon ruck!

Brain says. Hey it’s 102f outside. Let’s go for a 3 mile 65lb ruck. 🙄😆

Isn’t speedy, but dang it’s warm out. Texas life.

5 mile ruck w/buy-in/out

5 mile 55lb ruck on a beautiful 95 degree day in Texas with a 25 push-up / 50 air squat buy-in and buy-out. Side note. Has this GR Rucker 4.0 a year now and this is the first shirtless workout and ruck I’ve done. I’m impressed. No chafing from the ruck or hip belt. Love when it works out as advertised. Defiantly would be rubbed a bit raw if I was wearing my old issued ruck with no shirt 😂.

The Ruck Belt

Ordered one in tan to try out. Found this a few days ago and they didn’t have my size in tan. Looked today and they had one left so I scooped it up fast. Now I wait for delivery. Anyone have one and like or dislike it ? Just curious. Web belt I wore in the Bataan in March tore up my hip under the rucks hip belt. Swapped it out for a softer one but it still digs in after many many miles. Starts getting to me around 14-15 miles into my long rucks. Figured I’d give this one a try. This doesn’t work. I’m gonna just try 550 cord 😂😂. I have tons of it laying around and I’ve see it used as a ruck belt before 😆

Just sold a spy ruck

Lady cutting my hair starts a conversation about working out and next thing you know after I tell her about rucking 14-15 miles with a pack she’s asking me for recommendations for weight vests. Seems she’s also a massage therapist too and very into working out. So I was like. Well you can get one for a good price on go rucks website. She’s like huh? Gets out here phone and next thing you know she’s purchasing one for herself. 😆😂. Them she had to finish my hair cut 🙄

Metcalf 75.

Got it for $149.99 new on clearance at Scheels a month ago. Using it for rucking. Need a smaller belt but they don’t have any S/M belts in foliage in stock for the past month. 🥹🥹
