When does it get better? Worried about our cat
Hi everyone!
My cat was unwell for a few days and because he had other issues (mycoplasma and chronic rhinitis ) and is on meds we assumed it’s why he had started getting a swollen stomach. But then he became completely lethargic and stopped eating two days ago so we got him to the vet and he got diagnosed with wet fip, they had to empty his stomach with seringues! We couldn’t get the meds the first day but we got it yesterday and gave him his first dose last night. Since we’ve found out my husband and I can’t keep crying and feel we might lose our baby who’s been having incredible bad luck with his health and had issues since birth and since we’ve adopted him. I feel so sad and worried and I feel I can’t help… as I said we started his first dose last night but he’s still lethargic and barely eating. He’s however drinking a lot of water… my question is how long has it’s taken for you to see a change after the meds? When did the appetite got back to normal? Is there anything I can do more??
I also wonder how he got it and saw online cortisone can cause it? He’s been on cortisone for my mycoplasma and had to continue taking two pills a week which greatly worries me now…
not sure what I’m expecting with this post but I guess I mostly want a bit of support as no one around us seems to really care..
