Spring Transfer Advice needed!!

Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone here transferred to UCF in the spring semester and could share what the experience was like.

I'll be transferring in Spring 2027 with my AA, and while I'm excited, I'm also a little nervous about coming in during the middle of the school year when everyone else has already had a semester (or more) to make friends and get settled.

For some background, I grew up moving every couple of years because of my parents' job, so I'm pretty used to meeting new people and starting over. I'm not too worried about putting myself out there, but I was wondering if there are any good ways to meet people as a spring transfer. Are there clubs that are easy to join mid-year? Do transfers usually find their group pretty quickly, or does it take a while?

I'd also appreciate any general advice you have for someone transferring to UCF in the spring. Whether it's things you wish you knew beforehand, mistakes to avoid, or anything that made the transition easier, I'd love to hear it.

If it helps, I'm majoring in finance

Thanks!

Need help for Spring 2027!

Hey everyone! I'm transferring to UCF for Spring 2027 and I'm starting to look into housing, but I honestly have no idea where to start.

I'm transferring in with my AA, so this will be my first semester at UCF. I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for apartments or places that are popular with transfer students. I'm looking for roommates, also dont know where to start with that, but I'd prefer to be close to campus, but I'm open to hearing about anything that's a good balance of price, safety, and quality, since i have a car so commuting wont be an issue. Also, how difficult is it to find housing for the spring semester? Is there usually decent availability, or should I start applying really early? Since I've never been to UCF before, I'm not really sure what the housing situation is like compared to other schools.

Any advice, recommendations, or things you wish you knew before transferring would be really appreciated. Thanks!
