Aardvark TBR 🫣

I joined Aardvark back in May 2025 with When the Wolf Comes Home and absolutely loved it. Ever since, I get excited about the monthly hints and drops and place an order almost monthly, but I’ve been so focused on dwindling down my BOTM and non-book box TBR that I realize I haven’t read nearly any of my Aardvark picks.

I want to chip away at it and have skipped a few months here and there so I’m adding less to my TBR but I’d love your thoughts on which ones I should prioritize!

Bonus points if you can recommend a book on this list that is captivating from the start. I’ve been in such a reading slump this summer that I’ve only read 4 books since the beginning of June. I generally average 6-7 books per month so this is very unlike me.

Rewards

If a reward is replaced/ added mid-month, will it typically stay through the beginning of the following month?

I placed a small order last week when the DD list was announced, and I don’t want to place another order just yet as I still have some new polishes I haven’t tried and want to space my orders out a bit more 🫣 But, a few days after I placed it, Murraya’s Melody was added as a reward and I’ve had my eye on that one and don’t want to miss my chance to get it for “free.” I’m also keen to see what other polishes will be added as rewards in August in case I want to redeem any more points.

TY in advance! Still newish to MC and not sure how long rewards will stay if they weren’t there on the 1st of the month.

Debating if I “need” anything on the DD list

A few of the polishes on the DD list that I’m interested in seem to be very similar to other polishes in MC’s current inventory. So I’m thinking, do I reaaally need any of them? Which of these shades do you prefer and are they really as similar as they appear in the photos online?

- Spaceoddity & ego stroker 9000

- Earth to Gaia & dewpearls (& maybe sabertooth)

- Banquet of breadcrumbs & murraya’s melody

- Quicksand’s embrace & sand viper

- Fleur sauvage & momo yuyake

- Sealed with a hiss & werewolf’s bane

I got into mooncat a few months ago and my collection is around twenty polishes. I’m trying to overcome the FOMO of the DD and not buy any more polish in the next few months so I can try all of the polishes I’ve already bought, but I’m intrigued 💅🫣

Another cart in anticipation of the sale!

I am new to mooncat (& doing my own nails in general), but I started watching fern (cozyplantlady) on YouTube a few months ago and have been inspired to start doing my own manis! I’ve been researching different MC polishes over the past week, and I placed an order for a few ATLA polishes yesterday (jasmine dragon, spirit water, tales of ba sing se, and the avatar state). Now I ~think~ I’m pretty set on these ones for the sale :) lmk if you have any thoughts as a newbie! Are there any neutrals you love & swear by?
