Tank filters?

Hello everyone! I know this might come down to personal preference but I thought I would ask anyway. I have a 10 gallon planted tank for my panda corys. It came with a filter that at first worked really well but is already just not running. In their reviews for the tank kit, this is a common problem. I knew it when I ordered the tank but only about 25% of reviews said that so I think it’s possibly hit or miss. Anyways, clearly I got one that doesn’t work that well for whatever reason. I want to buy a filter that actually works well for these tanks. I do not intend on putting any other fish in this tank. Maybe a snail or two but that’s it. I don’t really care what it costs, as long as it works lol. Thanks in advance!

Photos??

Ok how are you guys getting these amazing photos and videos of your snails? I’m a massive newbie to snails and I’m obsessed with them and now I want to find the best way to photograph them. Sorry if this is a stupid question but my iPhone just doesn’t seem to be cutting it lol

Cleaning tank with baby snails?

Ok this might be a silly question but here goes. I accidentally became a new snail owner when a bladder snail hitched a ride on a plant. Tale as old as time right? lol. Anyway now i LOVE snails and i want to do a snail only tank someday in a fairly new future. But im looking at my current tank with my single betta and even though my bladder snail and all his kids are doing an amazing job there are still things i would like to clean but since I’ve never had snails how do i clean without hurting the babies that are so small i can barely see them? I am also not even sure if i have to clean? My water parameters are solid. No visible algae explosion except maybe some from the log.. i know i can trim plant leaves but what else do yall recommend? My betta is probably happier than i have ever seen him. The tank is gorgeous to the most part.. i don’t want to mess anything up and end up with an ammonia spike or something.

Hey everyone! I made a rookie mistake and listened to the pet store and got 2 panda corys. Long story short now I know what they need in general (group size, tank size, sand, temp etc). What i am uncertain about is the algae/overall tank care. I had them in with a female betta who tragically passed away this past Sun and it seems like in the last 48 hours the tank seems to have exploded with algae. Also this is a fairly new tank that was cycled well and getting established but then we had a huge issue with the filter lifting completely out of the water and upsetting the sand and substrate into a god awful muddy mess. There seems to conflicting information everywhere on water changes and tank cleaning. All the parameters are good. Zero ammonia etc. They appear to be happy and eating well. But the tank looks kinda awful and it was fast. Now i don’t know if i should clean it, leave it.. what? I have a plan to add more corys but i want to figure out what happened with the tank. I’m assuming it was the upset with the sand etc but what to do..

She was fine about 2 hours ago but when i went to feed i found her stuck between the tank heater and glass upside down. I’m absolutely heartbroken. Had her 2 yrs. I want to just throw up.
