My baby is 16 days old and is gaining weight but a little slower than what’s “normal” he gains about 2oz per 5ish days. He hasn’t reached his birth weight yet. The dr is not super concerned since he is still gaining and has plenty of wet and dirty diapers.

I am struggling with feeling like I am doing enough. I feel like a failure because he is not gaining as fast. The Dr said to try and keep him awake more on the breast but everything else seems to be great.

Has anyone experienced this and maybe has advice for me? Am I overthinking too much? He’s a very happy baby and seems perfectly healthy but I am feeling stressed out and exhausted after every feed just wondering if I am doing enough.
