Did a quick overnight trip to bag Mount Gould on Thursday.

I wasn’t expecting any fall colors since it’s hot as hell still, but it was a great surprise. Ended up camping at Flower Lake and found the sickest camping spot there in my opinion.

I’ve done the hike up to Kearsarge Lakes in the past and it’s not too hard. The extension up to Mount Gould from Kearsarge Pass was brutal though.

The whole way up is a mix of scrambling up a bunch of talus/hiking up lots of loose scree. Towards the end it got better in terms of the scree.

The last push is just climbing up to the summit block, and it isn’t anything crazy, but the wrong move can have you fall down and get seriously injured or possibly even die depending on how you climbed up.

Had the summit to myself and even saw a bald eagle on top. I found it insane seeing it that high up considering it’s one of my favorite animals, so it was like the cherry on top.

Badass little hike that’s for sure!

Eastern Yosemite will always be my favorite area of the park to visit.

Maybe I’m just biased since the east entrance is closer to home, but all the hikes out here feel more rugged than the ones I’ve done in Yosemite Valley and significantly less packed with crowds.

I’ve been meaning to post these photos from July 9th - July 10th.

Surprisingly, the trail was pretty easy the whole way up from Shadow Creek and we made it up to the lake right at sunset. It couldn’t have went any better than it did!

Spent a week camping in Glacier National Park three weeks ago from today and I enjoyed every single moment out there with one of my good buddies. I’m also grateful to have come across all the people we met out there and hopefully some of you guys somehow come across this!

We were up everyday by like 4 AM and didn’t get back to camp until 8PM - 10PM to take full advantage of our time out there. Didn’t see as much wildlife as I anticipated to, some is better than none though. Ended up clocking in 70mi/5 days and surprisingly felt like the trails we did weren’t strenuous.

We got lucky because the smoke didn’t start rolling in until our 5th day or so, but the smoke in some of the photos definitely gave a good perspective on how mountains get during fire season.

Wish I could share more because it took a ridiculously long time to edit and go through everything! These are some of my favorite shots though!

Completed the trail to the Palisade Glacier on Friday. Had really questionable weather from the start, but luckily we didn’t get hit by a storm.

It wasn’t a necessarily difficult trail in my opinion as I’ve done the lakes in the past. Only thing that was hard and required more focus was towards the end because of the amount of sketchy, slushy snow we had to go through.

It took us close to 14 hours to complete it in a day. If it weren’t for the snow and route finding at times, I’d say it would’ve been closer to a 10 - 12 hour day. Clocked in a bit over 19 miles total.

For those considering doing it, just be really careful and go slowly because spikes aren’t doing much in that unconsolidated snow.

Did a three day backpacking trip starting from Tuolumne Meadows.

Eastern Yosemite is a completely different feel than what you’ll experience in the valley.

The crowds are smaller and you’ll have more time to yourself if you go far enough.

Two days in Yosemite during the storm that rolled through.

I wasn’t expecting to get any photos, but surprisingly the weather showed me a side of Yosemite that I never experienced before.

Going during the week was definitely the best choice because I arrived at the Mist Trail around 6 AM and the parking was beginning to fill up quick.

The weather would fluctuate all day from being cloudy to some sun, but for majority of the part it was overcast.

Rain or shine, Yosemite is an amazing place although it gets crowded.

Scored some permits to do Angels Landing and The Subway this past weekend.

I was a bit intimidated to do the trails from reports I’ve read, but they were actually surprisingly easy in my opinion.

Arrived Friday morning around 6 AM to Zion Canyon Visitor Center and the parking was filling up quick. After we got on the shuttle, getting around was easy though.

The Subway was empty for most of the part which is always nice. Came across probably 15 people max the whole day.

It’s been years since I’ve been here, and it was definitely a good way to come back.
