Started an internship at a really good university and I was pumped thought it’d be all about building my skills and padding my resume. The professor I’m working under seemed cool and friendly at first. A few days in and things have gotten… intense.

He’s become extremely informal and said glad to find nice people like you. He started talking about porn pretty casually, and he’s been flirting more and more openly. He asked me out to a movie, I said sure at the time. Then he also invited me to his place to play PlayStation and keeps pushing to meet outside. Even after I gently turned down the movie, he’s still suggesting outings.

I’m bi so this ain't much but, the tension is there, and part of me finds the whole “forbidden professor” vibe kinda hot. But another part of me feels weird about it because he’s my mentor for the next month and there’s a clear power dynamic.

I don’t want to be rude and fuck up my internship, but I also don’t want things to cross a line I’m not ready for.

Has anyone been in a similar situation with a professor, boss, or mentor? How do I handle this without blowing up my opportunity? Need some advice.
