brown line stopped due to police activity

currently on a brown line train at Chicago/Franklin, operator says we're stopped due to "police activity in the loop." anyone know what's going on?

UPDATE: operator said no trains are going into/out of the loop

UPDATE: our train is moving, operator says loop is open. still curious what's going on

I'm sick and tired of ts

I was recently riding my bike with a friend around my city, she asked why I ride so fast and blow through stop signs. I realized its bc I dont give a zhit if i get hit by a car.

I've been cvtting for 4 years now. every year or so i tell myself I'm gonna stop, and I just end up replacing it with something else.

first time I tried to quit I was successful for a few months, then started binge drinking every day, got so drunk I could barely function. it got so bad I decided I had to quit that too, but i ended up just returning to cvtting.

2nd time I quit cvtting I developed a horrible Ed and became incredibly underweight. my parents were furious with me, we would sit at the table for hours yelling at each other. ive since mostly recovered from that, but during that time I started cvtting again.

3rd time I quit cvtting I would keep myself up for 40-50 hours at a time. I would get high off dxm and go stumbling around my city's downtown at 3am. one night i was sitting in an alley on my 3rd bottle of cough syrup and I realized my life was a mess, so i decided I needed to quit. i was able to (mostly) quit substances, only to go back to cutting quit few months later.

I recently decided to quit cutting again after I almost landed in the ER. I've been clean for over a week now, but I've started drinking dangerous amounts of caffeine.

every time I try to quit sh, I just end up replacing it with a different kind.

I want to be clean. I really really do. I just constantly have the urge to destroy my body.

how tf do i end ts???

first time I tried to quit I was successful for a few months, then started binge drinking every day, got so drunk I could barely speak. I filled a water bottle with scotch and brought it to school, drinking it in the bathroom between classes. it got so bad I decided I had to quit that too, but i ended up just returning to cvtting.

I don't even know why I sh. I have a good life. I have loving and supportive parents. really my only trauma is from a bad breakup years ago.

I'm so sick of this. i can't take care of myself. I just keep destroying my body.

Can people please stop excreting bodily waste on the Red line?

Is this a common experience?

This morning (Sunday, May 10) around 1am I took the Red line in order to get some supplies for a school project I'm currently working on. Normally I try to avoid taking the Red line at night, but I really needed these supplies and I was only going two stops (Fullerton to Clark/Division)

On my way South, just as we were leaving the Fullerton stop, one of the other passengers drops his pants and takes a dump on one of the seats. Not a little dump either, a big fat diarrhea-adjacent dump. Needless to say, this made the car impossible to be in, so I got off at North/Clyborn and switched cars (the other car just had the classic Red line weed/piss smell combo iykyk).

On my way back North, around 1:30 am, I get on at Clark/Division and turn to look for a seat when two guys say "woah there buddy, don't go that way," as I look down and notice the floor is covered in vomit and there is a comatose person with no pants lying face-down on the seats.

Maybe it was my mistake for riding the Red line at 1am, but I feel like we shouldn't have to put up with people shitting on seats and vomit sloshing around on the floor. Is this a common experience?
