Loud Noise Friday at 1:30 a.m. by Rennplatz

Did anyone else hear what sounded like a gunshot? I thought this was supposed to be the "nice side of town."

Between the ATM blowing up in 2022 and the recent bank robbery/murder, can we please get some regular police patrols over here?

Ramifications of Losing Minijob While on Unemployment

I am currently receiving unemployment benefits from my former part-time job. I also currently have a minijob. What happens if I lose my minijob while being on unemployment? How would my benefits be affected?

Are the expectations of my minijob legal?

I have a mini job as a cleaner in the early hours before opening. I am not a German citizen and this is my first minijob so when I was hired, I was not aware of possible legal issues in their expectations. Are these legal:

  1. I do not receive sick pay, holiday pay for state holidays, or paid vacation time. Instead, I am paid a miniscule amount over minimum wage and told that it "balances out in the end." However, I now realize that in order for this to work, I must put in the maximum allowed hours per month, AND I really can only use it at the end of the month, as if I use it any other time, I am actively losing wages.
  2. I am required to do all the washing of the work towels used by me and my coworkers at home, on my own time (without pay), with my own supplies and resources. I asked them to at least buy the detergent, which they refused, and after doing this for a year, it is putting wear and tear on my washing machine but I was told it was "not negotiable."
  3. My supervisor regularly suggests that I do work that is not safe and when I point that out, she is offended and still demands that I figure out how to complete the task. One time I slipped and fell and hit my head. She blamed me. And then did not pay for the time the doctor told me to take off to heal.
  4. She treats me with hostility and condescension. She is derogatory about me to other colleagues. I have emails that she doesn't think I can read because she says these things in German. She excludes me from fun work activities, and refers to me as "one of her girls" even though I am twice her age.

I have documented all of this. What can I do? HR fully supports her and refers me back to her with any work-related concerns I have. I have not addressed the personality concerns, as I do not feel supported.
