Hello, I applied to local 332 on July first and was told they would be in touch about the test date in 2-4 months. I am not too worried about the test as I have been using Iprep for the past 3-4 months and can get through the tests with 85-90 percent correct. I am more worried about the interview. This is my dream career and I am really excited about it. But I lack work experience with just experience working at homedepot. Earlier this week I joined 332 out of work list for material handlers because I was hoping that would help me get experience but after calling the local they said it can take 6 weeks for a material handlers job call to come up so I will just have to wait for that.
My issue is that I get nervous and I am worried I will stutter and other things like that in my interview. I have all the questions and my girlfriend said she would practice interviews with me. If you have any advice please share it with me. Thank you for reading.
Also if you have advice regarding 332s aptitude test and what type of math is on it because I have heard different locals have different stuff.
I started wrestling my sophomore year of high school and I fell in love with it. I join club wrestling and never looked back. Wrestling changed my life for the better in so many ways. It made me learn how to do hard stuff, it made me in better shape, it made me make some of the best connections in my life. I wasn’t good at any other sports and couldn’t play them in highschool.
My junior year after a grueling offseason full of 2 hour practices and hour lifting sessions in 100 summer heat. I became a varsity starter. I won the first two tournaments that I wrestled that season and ended the season 21-7 after making top 12 at sectionals. I saw so much growth and was so excited to make it to state next year and put in so much hard work in the offseason.
It goes quicker that you could ever imagine. My senior year I was ranked in cali state (not very high) and in the semi finals of league I was up 7-1 and I was way better than the kid. Then I blew out my knee. That was it. I tried to keep wrestling the match but I couldn’t shoot or sprawl. I ended up losing. After that the athletic trainer tested my knee and thought my acl and meniscus were torn. (Patella tendon and acl ended up being torn) I tried to wrestle my next match to qualify for cif regionals but even though I won I knew my career was over.
I’m telling this story to let you guys know it can go fast. Wrestling was the most important thing to make me who I am today. The only regret I have is not giving it more when I had the chance too. So give it more than you think you can. The worst thing that can happen is you learn something. This injury made me learn a lot about my self.
Oh and don’t buy Rudis shoes asics only
What do you guys think about the CB-LD. The more I see it the more I like it I am just worried I won’t have enough room.
I carry mini pliers, 2 knifed cobras, knipex needle nose, knipex lineman’s, knipex strippers, knipex cutters, wera 7in1, 3 insulted drivers, 5 normal drivers. 2 knifes, knipex shears, Alan key set, a conduit reamer, 2 adjustable wrenches, and a hacksaw, as well as the wiha hammer.
Do you guys think that would fit and what is your guys opinions on the back vs smth like an mctp or mct?
Thanks
I have 3 pouch options that I am trying to decide from
The mp2x so I can use as just a normal tool pouch for a daily loadout
The ub2b so I can just take stuff from my bag that I need and throw it in there quickly for a more easier job specific options
The sc45 I like it because of the modularity and being able to use it as a bag and a pouch and only using one or the other
Right now I can only afford one so let me know what you think, thank you I would be using it for electrical
Hello, as a congratulations for getting my apprenticeship my uncle said he was gonna buy me a veto bag and I am stuck between the mctp and the mct. I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on which would be the better choice. I would be using it for electrical. Thanks
I don’t have many friends that are that interested in football so I am going to have to make an 8 man league but I was wondering what your advice would be on how to make it more fun. I was gonna do 1 qb, 3 rb, 3 wr, 2 te, 2 flex so the teams arnt as good but I was wondering if you guys had any other ideas. Thank you
