TLDR: Does anyone have experience replacing the santoprene handles? I know I’ll need to cut these off and make my own replacements. Please send pics if you have them! Thanks in advance!

More info: This knife seems like a great edc/work/mini camping knife (at least for my usage) but the handle scales feel narrow and I’d prefer micarta or wood. Does anyone have experience replacing the santoprene handles on this or any other knife from Benchmade? I would use it as is for a while, but am 95% sure I will end up replacing them, so just looking g for more insight before I buy.

I know it will void the warranty. I get a good deal on Benchmade through work. The Hidden Canyon feels too small and the grind lines on the Saddle Mountain bother me for some reason. Also considering Spyderco Mule Team (sorry Benchmade) for same usage but the Steep Country is a better deal after buying getting a sheath and scales for the Spyderco.

I rarely dress up, but when I do the best part is carrying a dress up knife. Knife Joy Damascus Spyderco Delica with Flytanium Ti scales and hardware

I scored this Craftsman 15.5” drill press a while back and can’t seem to dial in the belt tension and alignment. It works great right now but needs some extra help from a bungee cord to keep tension on the belt.

I’ve tried raising /lowering the motor on its adjustable hinge and have tried adjusting the belt tension with the tension release arm. I found an old set of instructions online that were no help. Any advice?

I’m still shopping but have these 2 for comparison at the moment. Aside from Esee’s warranty, they’re both super comfortable and have big aftermarket parts availability to change things up later.

I know 1095 is a fan favorite, but if one was one in S35VN I’d be sold!

Looking at buying this and the price seems too good to be true. I’m hoping it is just being overlooked as an unpopular model

I’m fairly certain this Shaman is fake, but damn does it look close to the real thing. Please confirm if this is real. The font on the lettering is a bit different and the contour on the scales isn’t as round as it should be.

I finally got my hands on a Spydiechef for my collection and want to make sure it’s real. It’s second hand from eBay and was a good price, but not a “too good to be true” price.

Any recommendations on how to remove ink from clothes? My partner recently washed some clothes with a Uni Signo 207+ still in the pocket. How do I get this waterproof/archival grade ink out of clothes?

I’m hung up on the Y in Spyderco and detent is MUCH stronger than expected. Is this fake? The box loos legit but has no barcode on the small end and paperwork is for Manix. The green 20CV is authentic.

Just picked up this Manix 2 LW (far right) on eBay and worried it might be fake. Pictures on the listing looked good and box looks legit, but spring tension is softer than my others and the lettering looks slightly off. The laser etching and the satin finish have a slightly different color to it. The factory sharpening is terrible too, at least for Spyderco (I have a lot). From left to right, Manix G10 S30V (known authentic), Blue Manix LW (confident authentic, unverified), Black Manix LW (questionable authenticity). Thanks!

Edit: the spacing on the “Spyderco” letters looks bigger than the others and the spider logo’s mouth looks like a straight triangle instead of the typical arrow-shaped triangle
