I just beat the main story of Pokemon Violet. All told, this took over four months, and 45 of my Pokémon perished along the way. This was a mostly-blind run, but I allowed myself the use of items in battle. Also, I could use shiny Pokémon I found, but they had to take up an area’s encounter.

Presenting the nine survivors seen here:

1. Neko the shiny Skeledirge (a hatched shiny Fuecoco near the beginning of my run as my Mesagoza encounter; I’m very happy he survived all the way to the end)

2. Memoria the shiny Glimmora (my Area Zero encounter; her Toxic Spikes and Stealth Rocks were instrumental for the final fight)

3. Curtain the Wigglytuff (my Pokémon League encounter right before the Champion Assessment; she only used Charm on the final Pokémon before being saved from death by her Focus Sash, but that’s still effort)

4. Kami the shiny Sinistcha (caught in Mossfell Confluence but taken as my Chilling Waterhead encounter; Matcha Gotcha is a very fun move)

5. Shock the shiny Persian (caught in West Province’s Area Two, but taken as my Porto Marinada encounter; his Fake Out paired very well with Toxic damage)

6. Destiny the Sunflora (caught in North Province’s Area Three on my birthday, hence the name; she survived on 1 HP against Geeta’s Veluza’s critical hit Ice Fang and got the final hit on her Glimmora)

7. Dotty the Azumarill (caught in South Province’s Area One on the first day of the challenge and survived all the way to the end and became a Champion; Draining Kiss and Charm were useful the entire run)

8. Dexby the shiny Dachsbun (caught in South Province’s Area Six but taken as my Alfornada encounter; her bulk was amazing and Draining Kiss and Charm were also useful forever)

9. Salvo the Perrserker (caught in Uva Academy right towards the end of the run; she was quite under-leveled for the Champion Assessment, but she still saw some fun use with her Air Balloon and Fake Out)

I took very extensive notes throughout the challenge, so let me know if you have any questions! I had a lot of fun with this; and I’d like to talk to people about it. :)

Also, I treated the Kitakami DLC like its own mini-Nuzlocke, so I only used Pokémon I caught there for that whole story—is that sort of thing feasible to do in the second DLC?
