Breaking into supply chain with accounting degree?
Hi, I’m sure variations of this question have been asked as nauseam, but I’m not sure what to do
I’m going back to school to get another bachelors (have a useless liberal arts degree). I’m really interested in the supply chain field, but i was also thinking about getting an accounting degree as it’s more versatile. Basically I’ve been told an accounting degree can do just about anything in finance/supply chain, but supply chain or other finance degrees can’t do accounting
I’m mildly interested in some accounting careers, but not sure if that’s what I’d want to do. I’m much more interested in procurement or supply chain analyst positions
My question though is how difficult would it be to break into the industry from this angle? I’m going to school online while i work full time (i work in the events industry), so i won’t be able to get an internship or anything like that
And I’m aware the job markets rough across the board so I’m not expecting to walk into a cushy gig, but I’m also not going to not go all out for it. Thanks!
