Pest Control Charge from Leasing Agency
Hi all, looking for advice. My roommates and I have a seasonal/temporary lease here in Barcelona and recently my roommate came back from a trip with what we think was a hitchhiking bed bug. We informed the leasing agency immediately and they said they would follow their protocol and have a pest control company come and fumigate and when we needed to be out of the apartment for 12 hours today while it happened. This afternoon we received an email stating that we are being charged €580 for the service. At no point were we given any options to seek out multiple quotes for price comparisons or the option to purchase supplies on our own, we were told that they were following their protocol and someone would be sent. If we had known we would be charged we certainly would have sought out our own options. If anyone has any advice as to what our options are that would be greatly appreciated!!
