NickToons/NickSpongeBob now airing AI slop commercial for a product called Charger Chums
Was recording some SpongeBob episodes last night and this godforsaken thing popped up during a commercial break.
Paramount really gave up on the kids, huh?
Weird Take: I think AEG would have worked better if the CGI series continued concurrently with AEG.
I feel like AEG could have worked had it not been the *only* show for 5 years. AEG's target demographic was clearly skewed quite a bit younger than the OG show, and if they ran simultaneously, nobody would have batted an eye. It could have also grown the fanbase down the line, when the babies and young toddlers who like AEG now discover the original show, they might eventually join the fanbase and find who they really are. AEG could have worked as like an "introduction" of sorts for babies and young toddlers who may be too young to handle some of the plots of the Brenner era and such.
Right as I was dozing off last night I saw an image of a Yahtzee Warning EAS??
I had a friend (same friend who I dreamt said was genderfluid a few months ago) make me a mockup of it (he's not on reddit)
You're given $10 billion USD in gas station convenience store gift cards. What do you use them for?
The way these are given to you is via an attachable pocket that fits any pair of pants/shorts seamlessly. Reaching into this pocket will always reveal one (1) $25 gas station convenience store gift card that replenishes every 15 seconds until the $10 billion value is used.
These gift cards are for the gas station convenience store franchise most prominent in your local area and this does NOT change by area (e.g. if you live in an area with mostly 7-11 stores, if you go to an area with mostly Circle K stores the pocket still dispenses 7-11 gift cards).
You can use these gift cards for anything at these stores except other gift cards, lottery tickets, and gas itself. This means practically infinite fountain soda, hot dogs, pizza, and snacks.
If the gas station is also a deli that can deliver (some Circle K stores can), you can order delivery and pay with the cards.
If you come across a gas station attached to a fast food joint (e.g. McDonald's), you can use the gift card at that location on any item on the menu except other gift cards.
BJ's, Sam's Club, Costco, Kroger, etc. gas stations do not qualify.
Walmart gas stations only qualify at the tiny little Walmart convenience store, not the actual Walmart itself.
Gas stations attached to grocery stores rather than standard convenience stores do not qualify.
If you're in the south, Buc-ees doesn't count.
As few as there are, Dollar General stores with gas stations do count, however only at locations with gas and you cannot buy other gift cards with them. DG Market stores, however, do not count.
What are you doing with your newfound power? Give cards to the homeless left and right? Use your local 7-11 as an infinite snack repository? Or something else?
Spirits, what's your opinion on homophobes and transphobes?
reddit.comLooking to start a layout, please advise
I've decided I'm moving my Trackmaster collection over to my grandparents' house so I can build a nice layout on a big table.
Problem is, I'm not sure how big to make the train table. The layout won't be too crazy, but it should be a decent size. Looking to incorporate an AEG Talking Cranky and a Super Station (no stilts) somehow. Also would like to incorporate the AEG Percy track bucket and the 80th Barrel Set, and possibly some TM Revolution elements (most notably the bridge from the Railway Race Set). I'll be using only TM2/Motorized track (I don't plan on getting the 2026 engines for a while).
Anybody got an idea for how big to make this table? All advice appreciated.
Anybody else firmly believe therapy is complete BS?
I've run through a few therapists since I was 5 years old and NONE OF THEM, and I mean none of them, did anything to actually help.
Notable instances include:
* Therapist #1 telling my mom I was "just bored" (I was having a meltdown)
* Therapist #2 really just had a wife with a hoarding problem and wanted an excuse to buy toys. He ate his lunch during our appointments, never talked to me, only my mom. IIRC one time there was a notice from the power company on the door that they were gonna shut off his power due to nonpayment.
* Therapist #3 tried to get me admitted, I'm honestly not entirely sure why. Then sent me to a psychiatrist 2 hours away while I had a major fear of travel. Luckily this was right before COVID so I only had to go to the office like 3 times. Funnily enough my ADHD sister went to a different therapist at the same office a few months ago and had a horrible experience there too.
* Therapists #4 and #5 were actually a pair (IIRC one of them was in training), they were in their late 50s but looked 85, and at one point one of them said "I can't help you, you have to help yourself". Isn't that literally a therapist's job?! Apparently she used to be an accountant but got sacked before she could retire so went into therapy for a few years. It's actually due to Therapists #3, and #4/#5 that I've coined the term "bullshit therapy tactics" (generally referring to those stupid breathing excercises and things like that that don't actually work for me) and I refuse to take advice from ANY "normal" person who suggests them.
I now refuse therapy from ANYONE who suggests it, including my doctor (I won't even go to a nutritionist because there's about a 90% chance I'll go 3 hours away for them to refer me to a bullshit therapist).
I'm sure therapy works for some "regular" people, because I'm pretty sure most of them are trained on more "regular" examples instead of us NDs. I have no doubt that physical therapy does wonders. Mental therapy is where I draw the line.
What was your experience with therapy? Did it work or not?
Small footnote: using "regular" to reference non-NDs because I absolutely fucking hate the word "allistic". It sounds too much like ballistic for me and it's just plain wrong to me.
Just learned my uncle is one of these LGB without the T dunces... hooray! /s
Combining the 3 things I hate most into one post: homophobia, Skydance, and a complete lack of ball- I mean variety on any TV network.
[AMAB 15] made an LGBT online friend, now questioning everything
Before we start I just wanna say nothing ever happened romantically between us. We mostly just talk about Nickelodeon and not much else. I am not attracted to him, nor is he attracted to me.
So recently I found out this friend is both trans and bi, and I support him in every way I can (his parents misgender and deadname him constantly so I try to be there as much as possible).
I know that I'm only into women sexual wise with no real genital preference (as in if I was dating a woman I couldn't care less about down there), but as for romantically it seems to vary from day to day (possibly biromantic?)
Some days I only feel like I could love women, some I feel like I could love both women and more feminine men, some days I feel like I can love neither. I still don't really know the full extent of this yet as I'm very busy in my normal life (I'm also autistic and VERY into Nickelodeon and A/V equipment).
As for gender identity, it fluctuates. Some days I feel more masculine, others more towards enby/agender, but never feminine identities. He/Him pronouns are preferred but He/They does sometimes feel OK too.
I'm just trying to put a label on it, it feels wrong to label me as entirely cishet, but it also feels wrong with full genderfluid/bi. Anyone know how to put a label on this? Sorry in advance for the tangent.
I would also like to thank this friend, as he definitely helped me find "ykw, maybe I'm not completely straight".
