M4A3E8 Sherman "Easy Eight" – Füssen, Germany 1945 Diorama [Scratch-built urban scene]

What’s up everyone! Just wrapped up this WWII project and wanted to share the final build with you all.

It’s an M4A3E8 Sherman "Easy Eight" pushing through a heavily damaged street in Füssen, Germany, back in April 1945, backed up by US infantry clearing the area.

A few details on the build:

  • The Armor & Squad: Toned up the weathering on the Sherman with realistic mud, dust, and added the improvised side logs. Infantry painted to match urban combat gear.
  • The Scene: Built the European building facade and cobblestone street from scratch. Added blown-out shopfronts, realistic rubble, damaged brickwork, and a statue at the corner for some added depth.
  • Atmosphere: Went for a gritty, late-war aesthetic with subtle smoke and debris scattered across the road.

Check out the video and let me know what you think! Always open to C&C (critique & comments) on the weathering or layout.

Cheers!

Title: I built a snowy Diagon Alley book nook for my Harry Potter shelf! What do you think? 🧙‍♂️❄️

Wanted to give my HP shelf a proper winter vibe, so I put together this lighted Diagon Alley alleyway. Added a layer of snow and icicles to all the storefronts to capture that December feel.

Stained the outside wood and added the Deathly Hallows sign on the side panel to keep it clean on the shelf.

Check out the video and let me know your thoughts!

Working on a concept for my next 3D diorama project – BTTF Part III Train Chase! What do you guys think?

Hey everyone!

I’m currently planning my next physical diorama build based on the iconic climax from Back to the Future Part III — the DeLorean being pushed by the Central Pacific 131 steam locomotive on the tracks.

Before I jump into 3D printing, kitbashing, and building the scene, I wanted to map out the concept art and composition first.

I’m aiming for maximum detail on both the DeLorean (with the rail wheels and front cowcatcher) and Doc Brown’s train, plus setting it against the 1885 Hill Valley backdrop.

Before I start cutting materials and setting up the layout:

  1. How do you feel about the overall composition and camera angle?
  2. Are there any subtle film details from this scene you think are a MUST-HAVE in a physical build?

Would love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or any advice before I start building!

Thanks! 🚂⚡️

Just finished this atmospheric Predator diorama and integrated it into a full jungle scene

Here is a shot of my completed Predator diorama project. I spent a lot of time weathering the figure and blending the custom base into a larger, deeper jungle landscape with some distant temple ruin details. I wanted to create a sense of scale and atmosphere using the twilight lighting. Any feedback is welcome!

1:48 F-14A Tomcat "Top Gun" – Maverick & Goose ready for launch!*

F-14A "Top Gun" (Maverick & Goose ) I really wanted a specific launch deck scene, so I decided to learn CAD and design/3D print my own deck crew figures to match.

Aircraft Details: Added specific decals and focused on heavy carrier deck weathering.

Figures: My own design and resin 3D printed. This is the first time I've used my own 3D prints as part of a main build. They add so much more life to the scene.

Deck: Custom built carrier deck diorama.

Feedback is appreciated!

Captain America – Custom Painted Statue & Base 3D Print / Resine Kit

Just finished working on this 1:24 scale Captain America figure and rubble base.

The entire model was painted using Tamiya acrylics. I spent extra time building up the leather/fabric textures on the suit and boots, as well as getting a clean metallic finish on both the primary shield and the vintage heater shield on his back.

Here's a 360-degree spin showing all the details and weathering.

C&C are always welcome! Let me know what you think.

Tonight we dine in hell! My custom 3D printed & hand-painted Leonidas / Spartan diorama

Hey everyone!

Just finished up project—a custom Spartan warrior diorama inspired by the Battle of Thermopylae.

Everything you see here was 3D printed and hand-painted, from the metallic brass weathering on the hoplon shields and helmet down to the ground work and tufts. I really wanted to capture that dark, cinematic atmosphere of the Hot Gates, complete with the shield wall in the background.

A few details on the build:

  • Scale: Custom scale print
  • Finish: Hand-painted with acrylics, featuring multi-layer weathering, battle damage, and metallic washes
  • Base: Custom rock wall and textured groundwork

Would love to hear your thoughts or any feedback on the painting/weathering!

My 1/24 scale "Toretto's Garage" diorama is finally finished! Custom 3D prints, LED lighting, and smoke effects. What do you guys think?

Hey everyone!

I wanted to share my latest project that I just wrapped up. It’s a multi-car garage diorama inspired by the Fast & Furious franchise (Toretto's Garage style).

Spent a ton of time on the gritty textures, weather-beaten bricks, and all the tiny garage details. The miniature figures and some of the scale accessories were custom designed and 3D-printed by me to get the look just right.

Added some LED strip lights for that neon garage vibe and hooked up a mini smoke machine for the exhaust effect.

Let me know what you think! Happy to answer any questions about the build process or the 3D prints.

"Don't Open, Dead Inside" 🧟‍♂️ My custom The Walking Dead apocalyptic street diorama is finally finished! 🎬

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share a quick video showcase of my project—a full post-apocalyptic street scene heavily inspired by The Walking Dead.

I put a ton of work into the environmental storytelling here: from the weathered brickwork, overgrown vines, and shattered windows, to the custom graffiti covering the walls.

Key details of the build:

Characters: Features Rick Grimes holding his ground, Michonne, and Daryl Dixon keeping watch from the roof with his crossbow.

The Setting: Built entirely from scratch to capture that gritty, abandoned urban atmosphere. Even the small details like the rusted motorcycle, trash bins, and scattered debris were heavily weathered.

Scale: Everything is scaled and painted by hand to bring this miniature apocalypse to life.

Check out the video to see the full fly-through! Would love to hear what you guys think of the weathering and details.

Highway to the Danger Zone!" ✈️ Just finished this Top Gun F-14 Tomcat carrier deck diorama!

Hey everyone! I wanted to share my latest build—a tribute to the iconic F-14 Tomcat sitting on the flight deck, getting ready for launch.

I put a lot of focus into the weathering of the Tomcat to give it that hard-working, sea-salted US Navy look, and spent quite a bit of time detailing the carrier deck lines, catapult track, and jet blast deflector.

A few details about the project:

The Kit: F-14 Tomcat with Maverick and Goose names clearly visible on the canopy rail.

The Deck Crew: Added custom-painted deck crew figures (shooters/ordnancemen) to bring the flight deck to life and give the scene a sense of scale and action.

Weathering: Used pre-shading and oil washes to pop the panel lines and recreate the grime you’d see on an active carrier deployment.

Would love to hear your thoughts and feedback on the weathering and overall composition!

Great Scott!" ⚡ My custom Back to the Future diorama is finally finished!

Hey everyone! I wanted to share my latest project—a scene from Back to the Future that I've been pouring a lot of time into recently.

I wanted to capture the high-stakes moment right on the streets of Hill Valley as Doc Brown and Marty McFly scramble to get the DeLorean ready for the lightning strike.

A few details about the build:

  • The Backdrop: The "Western Auto Stores" storefront and neighboring buildings were built from scratch to match the film's aesthetic. I integrated custom lighting into the upper windows to give it that authentic, cinematic night-time glow.
  • The Figures: I 3D printed and hand-painted both Doc and Marty. I really wanted to nail their iconic outfits—Doc's radiation suit/coat and Marty's classic red puff vest—as well as their poses, complete with the skateboard and the hook cable.
  • The DeLorean: Modified to fit the scene with the gull-wing door open, ready for action.

Would love to hear what you guys think! Any feedback or critique is highly welcome.

[WIP] Spitfire Mk.Ib & RAF Airfield Diorama – Ground crew prepping for a mission

Wanted to share a project I’ve been working on recently—a British airfield diorama set during WWII, featuring a Spitfire Mk.Ib and its ground crew (1.jpg).

The goal here was to capture a busy, atmospheric moment right before takeoff. The scene includes the pilot getting into the cockpit, mechanics prepping the aircraft, a fuel/supply area inside the brick pen, and even a loyal airfield dog watching the action.

Details:

Aircraft: Spitfire Mk.Ib with historical RAF markings.

Scenery: Handmade grass turf base, a muddy track on the side for vehicle/crew movement, and a scratch-built brick dispersal pen storing fuel barrels and equipment.

Figures: RAF pilot and ground crew in various realistic poses to bring the airfield to life.

Moving positions – 1:35 scale WWII German artillery convoy diorama. C&C welcome!

t’s a WWII-themed diorama featuring a heavy tactical truck towing an 8.8 cm FlaK gun along a rugged, muddy hillside pass.

I spent a lot of time working on the composition and environmental storytelling for this build. Here are a few key details from the process:

The Terrain: The rocky hillsides were shaped to create a tight, dramatic pass. I included a small wayside shrine on the left to add a touch of regional realism to the landscape.

Mud & Water Effects: I wanted the road to look thoroughly churned up and saturated. I used glossy clear coats and realistic mud textures along the foreground bank to give it that fresh, wet, sludgy look.

The Convoy: Both the heavy transport vehicle and the FlaK artillery received a multi-tone camouflage scheme, followed by heavy weathering, chipping, and dust effects to match the harsh environment.

Figures: I positioned a full infantry squad and crew across the scene—some taking up defensive positions on the high ground, while others guide the vehicle through the difficult terrain.

Everything from the rock textures to the vegetation was built up layer by layer to capture a gritty, realistic atmosphere.

I’d love to hear your thoughts, questions, or any feedback you might have on the weathering or layout!

Here is the raw, AI-free 1/32 Huey diorama straight from the bench. 🛠️

Lasst mich wissen, was ihr denkt.

Here is the raw, AI-free 1/32 Huey diorama straight from the bench.

After some really constructive feedback on my last post about using AI for cinematic effects, I wanted to clear the air and share the actual, raw model. No digital backgrounds, no generated filters, and no artificial leaves. Just pure plastic, airbrush work, scratch-built textures, and workbench lighting.

This project captures a Huey landing scene during the Battle of Ia Drang Valley.

Lessons learned! Moving forward, I’ll always post the raw craftsmanship first so you can see the real work that goes into the bench time.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the actual build, weathering, and details! Let me know what you think.

Vietnam War Diorama – Battle of Ia Drang Valley. Just finished this Huey landing scene!

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share my latest project that I’ve been pouring my soul into for the past few weeks. It’s a 1/32 scale diorama depicting a dramatic Huey helicopter landing deep in the jungle during the Battle of Ia Drang Valley.

I really wanted to capture the heavy, tense atmosphere of the jungle, so a massive part of the build was focusing on the layout and composition.

Some details about the build:

The Chopper & Figures: The 1/32 scale helicopter and ground figures took a lot of patience to paint and weather realistically to fit the muddy environment.

The Jungle: Every piece of tropical foliage, the muddy ground, and the tall grass was carefully placed to create that dense, claustrophobic jungle feel.

The Scratch-built Hut: I also added a traditional bamboo stilt hut on the right side to give the scene more context and depth.

The photo you see here is a shot of the final piece. I tried to play with the lighting to simulate sun rays breaking through the thick tree canopy, which really brought the whole scene to life.

I’m super happy with how it turned out, but I’d love to hear your thoughts! Any feedback on the weathering, composition, or foliage is highly appreciated.

Thanks for looking!

WWII Corsair Diorama – a small island scene with a big story

Hey everyone!

I’d like to share my latest diorama project: a WWII-era F4U Corsair on a tropical island setting.

The idea was to create a moment that feels like a real snapshot from the Pacific theater — a Marine aircraft parked near the beach, ground crew working around it, supplies nearby, and the atmosphere of a remote island base.

I focused a lot on the small details: weathering, the sand, vegetation, equipment, figures, and trying to capture the feeling of a busy airfield in the middle of nowhere.

The whole scene is handmade and built as a display piece — not a real location, but a small piece of history recreated in scale.

Hope you enjoy it! Feedback and suggestions are always welcome.

1/48 WWII Airfield Diorama – “Judy” Under Maintenance

Hi everyone,

I’d like to share my latest diorama project, featuring a twin-engine WWII aircraft nicknamed “Judy” undergoing maintenance on a busy airfield.

The scene captures a quiet moment between missions: ground crew working around the aircraft, tools scattered across the concrete apron, fuel and support vehicles nearby, and other aircraft visible in the background. My goal was to create a realistic atmosphere of an operational military airbase rather than just displaying the aircraft by itself.

Some details I focused on:

Weathering and wear on the aircraft and airfield surface

Ground equipment and maintenance accessories

Natural interaction between the crew figures

Depth and realism through the hangar, control tower, and background aircraft

A slightly cinematic look to bring the scene to life

I’m still working on a few finishing touches, but the project is finally starting to come together and tell the story I had in mind.

I’d love to hear your thoughts, suggestions, or constructive criticism. What details stand out to you, and what would you improve?

Thanks for looking, and happy modeling!
