If you’re into small diorama scenes like this, feel free to follow. I’ll be sharing more from time to time, and I’m working on some follower perks too.

Reconstructing the limestone foundation blocks of Hagia Sophia by hand. By ELIZI

To recreate the authentic 1500 year old stone masonry grid, I implemented a strict 1.1cm rule 1cm for the pure stone height and 1mm for the mortar joint spacing. Every vertical joint is intentionally offset to respect the historical Byzantine structural integrity and interlocking static balance.

The truth is, I am building this impossible project under total physical limitations. No professional studio, no CNC, and no industrial lasers just old, cheap, basic hand tools on a crowded kitchen table.

This is a story no one knows about ELIZI. It is not a perfect model built with modern privileges. It is a 100% human model built entirely on pure patience and manual willpower.

Through textural analysis, a cardboard monument is now being transformed into stone.

Spitfire Mk.Ib & RAF Airfield Diorama (1:35 / 1:48) – Added a digital background to catch the vibe!

[WIP] Spitfire Mk.Ib & RAF Airfield Diorama – Ground crew prepping for a mission

Hi everyone!

Wanted to share a project I’ve been working on recently—a British airfield diorama set during WWII, featuring a Spitfire Mk.Ib and its ground crew (1.jpg).

The goal here was to capture a busy, atmospheric moment right before takeoff. The scene includes the pilot getting into the cockpit, mechanics prepping the aircraft, a fuel/supply area inside the brick pen, and even a loyal airfield dog watching the action.

Details:

Aircraft: Spitfire Mk.Ib with historical RAF markings.

Scenery: Handmade grass turf base, a muddy track on the side for vehicle/crew movement, and a scratch-built brick dispersal pen storing fuel barrels and equipment.

Figures: RAF pilot and ground crew in various realistic poses to bring the airfield to life.

Very little Shop of Horrors

I built this for my daughter's birthday. She has always lived this movie even as a child. I thought I create one of her own. Happy Birthday baby girl.

Throne Room Complete...Sort of

Second floor of my castle display for Mythic Legions is done. At least the structure is. I still need furniture.

Fireplace came out too small, but the first one I built was too large. We'll just call it for Ed perspective.

Help making water that isn’t resin and doesn’t damage figure?

I’m making a 1/6 scale display case for one of my war figurines, and I want to have a scene of him crawling through the water without ruining him and still being able to take him out of the scene. He’s wearing fabric.

Tips on flying with a diorama?

Hi all! I am attending G-fest in Chicago next weekend and they are having a Kaiju model contest, so I will be flying with a diorama. This is my first time and I would love some tips on anyone who’s flown with a project like this in the past.

I am using green foam and pink board. My thought was to use dowels while I build and paint, then separate everything, bubble wrap, and pack it in a suitcase. Then pack my glue gun and glue it all down in the hotel the night I get there. But I’m so worried about the pink board snapping from being thrown around.

Could I bring the pink board as my person item and just hold it on my lap? I saw that typically you can do this with small artwork and canvases. My flight is under 2 hours so it would not be a huge imposition for me to hold it if it is allowed.

Any and all packing and traveling tips are greatly appreciated!!!
