1/35 Old House
So still a little bit work needs to be done as I can see some untouched pieces when taking these photos.. but that’ll only take a couple mins🤔
Grass looks a little funky but it is my first time using a grass applicator so oh well, but if anyone has tips on how to create realistic grass that’d be awesome. The tyre is there temporarily, might be a bit too big..
Gretchin Target Practice.
Just a little fun piece that I admittedly spent too much time on, for some spare practice Gretchin.
22nd mini completed on this journey.
Abandoned Stargate on the moon 1/35
My build from the abondened stargate is completed today. It was found on the moon and the scientist astronauts are inverigating it.
Post-apocalyptic Plants
This is 2 of my most resent dioramas I made. they are not in same scale, but they tell the same story. The store building is a model kit i found online and added my own style to. The small house I found in a charity shop.
I like to make my dioramas integrated with real plants and moss. I wanted to continue these mini dioramas of a post-apocalyptic world where plants have taken over slowly.
In the base of the Store building i have integrated a battery and made it so I can turn on and off the streetlamp. It's the first time i have integrated light into my dioramas and I really like it.
I'm new to making dioramas, but i love to experiment and kit bash my way to something half descent.
I'm open for suggestions and input to how I can improve, so please put a comment if you have any ideas.
WIP Not a nook. current diorama
I know this isn’t the totally correct subreddit for this, but hoping for some grace 🙏Wanted to share with the community what I’m working on right now. while I wait for a new kit to come in I started working on a new diorama. This one is a Mayan pyramid. Kukulcan Mexico. My vision for this is a pyramid in the jungle with warriors in the woods protecting it from invasion. The plan is to add this to a surface adding trees, ground plants etc then having miniature Mayan warriors in the woods. The pyramid, I could have gone and made but this time I wanted to find one that was made in Mexico. That took a time. Found one on eBay!!
It came after a while only problem. No instructions. Only pictures. Well that was fun learning how to put it together but I finally got it! next was trying to paint it the original color which was terracotta and had turquoise accents. This is where I am today. Paint done. I made squares using my polymer clay the. Used the back of some jewelry making stuff the wife had to emboss them, and glued them on. Accented the lines with gold marker. I think it looks good so far. Next up is working on the terrain for this. Currently working on some stone ruins I am making out of foam to texture and paint then add as well I’ll be doing this stuff At least until my new kit comes in lol. What other hobby’s do you all do?? I know there so many talented people in this community.
My Dune Book Nook
This is my Dune-themed book nook. It’s my first time creating one without a kit (flying without a net), and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. It’s actually a gift for my nephew, since we’ve been seeing the Dune movies together. Dune’s been one of my favorite books since high school, so I hope you like it!
Mini dome additions and relief work on the dome are in progress.
All parts undergo detail depth layering and dome processing. Relief is applied to the mini dome without retouching. After drying, the imperfections will be removed.
Not something you guys havent seen a thousand times before but I really wanted to practice my terrain building. Was a fun project. How did I do? Tips and suggestions very welcome!
The mud is a mixture of coffee grounds, pva and paint. All hand painted, still don't have an airbrush
I'm figuring it out as I go, and sometimes I find something that might be helpful to other beginners!
This isn’t something groundbreaking or revolutionary, but it’s something that I have been doing when painting small pieces that easily roll away when bumped:
I use masking tape inside-out, tape it down on the sides for good measure, and then put the little bits upright in the way that I’m going to use them so they stay in place and I can paint them on both sides at the same time. Bonus points: I can just pick up the piece of paper I taped them to and set it aside to dry without any extra effort.
Image to visualise it here.
More Backrooms Diorama (physical)
My lovely backrooms miniature! All existent is physical space.
Abandoned Stargate with DHD 1/35
For my crossover Diorama I build yesterday a stargate in scale 1/35 with paper and cardboard.
The first Pictures shows the whole stargate.
The other ones the mini-project
For the bottom I use paper-mache and glue some small stones on it.
Abandoned Bugatti Veyron
I created this 1:18 abandoned diorama as the starting point for a contest project, where I’ll be restoring and customizing this AUTOart Bugatti Veyron.
Cave entrance

Very different, but I've been doing buildings so much it was fun doing something free form with nature :)
I used xps foam, homemade sculptamold, plaster paris, static grass and tufts.
mini kitchen update - lacking color palette ideas….
also working on remaking the oven since i didnt like how it turned out!
Was making diorama and mold is everywhere. What can I do???
Finishing up this school project and noticed this today. Can I save it? I see people say to bake the dirt so this doesn’t happen, but what can I do now?
