My B5 is now my son's problem. Get off my lawn!

"Little Blue" our 1998 A4 2.4V6 30V 5mt fwd is not mine anymore.

I bought her as second owner in 2010 with 85000km will waiting for our 2nd child, we needed a combi for two strollers we figured.

She's been my daily ever since until now, 255000km on the clock. She was never towed once.

When my son was about 10, he realized our car was a little special and asked to have her when he grows up.

Yesterday he took his driver's license.

He did the cam belt himself 2 weeks ago.

She's his now.

My brother gifted him new fenders for his 18th.

I bought a 1500euro citroen C5.

Borrowed a panel van to sleep in för 4 days, but we both need CPAP machines. Have 2 75ah sealed lead acid batteries. Want to charge them when driving and disconnect them from the van when engine is off. Thinking about simply parallel coupling them with starter battery via a relay and a switch and 30 amp fuse, but do I need to limit current to avoid blowing the fuse in the morning if they get empty?

We'll be using 50-90 watts which is 90/12=7.5 amps so the 2x75 ah batteries should be at 50% after 10 hours sleep. I wonder how much current we can cram in while driving, would they be charged after 4-5 hours?
