RS4 B5 bumpers on a 2001 A4 B5 — direct fit or modifications needed?

Hey brothers I’ve got a 2001 Audi A4 B5, and I’m trying to give it the RS4 B5 look with the front and rear bumpers. I wanted to know if the RS4 B5 bumpers fit directly onto the A4 B5 without any major hassle, or if I need to modify/adapt the bumpers to make them fit perfectly.

Thanks in advance, brothers! 🙏

Subframe compatibility for 1.8T FWD Manual

Hey y'all,

TLDR: Is THIS SUBFRAME compatible with my 1999 A4 1.8T FWD Manual?

------

I read this post on Audizine, but there seems to be some conflicting information there, so wanted to double check here.

It seems that the only difference I should be considering when it comes to a subframe for the 1.8T is between automatic and manual; that difference is due to the left side tranny mount being different... FWD / Quattro seems to make no difference?

For example,

This verkline subframe WOULD work for my manual, as it has slots for the different LEFT side tranny mount (used specifically on manual trans)...

but this other verkline subframe WOULDN'T work for my manual as it has identical slots on both left and right sides to account for using only the one type of tranny mount on both sides (used on right side for manual trannys as well as right AND left side for auto trannys).

----

If someone could please confirm this analysis checks out (that the only difference is between manual / auto and not fwd / quattro) I would appreciate it!

My B5 is now my son's problem. Get off my lawn!

"Little Blue" our 1998 A4 2.4V6 30V 5mt fwd is not mine anymore.

I bought her as second owner in 2010 with 85000km will waiting for our 2nd child, we needed a combi for two strollers we figured.

She's been my daily ever since until now, 255000km on the clock. She was never towed once.

When my son was about 10, he realized our car was a little special and asked to have her when he grows up.

Yesterday he took his driver's license.

He did the cam belt himself 2 weeks ago.

She's his now.

My brother gifted him new fenders for his 18th.

I bought a 1500euro citroen C5.

Rear brakes heating after brake job

2 weeks ago I changed the pads and rotors on my 2010 Audi a5 2.0tdi. Since then, both sides have been heating up a lot and sometimes I can hear a squeaking noise when I drive. It seems as though the brakes are sticking. I had to use a 12v battery to put my EPB into maintenance mode when I was changing them, but it seemed to work fine at the time. When I jack my car up and spin my wheels by hand they spin fine. This problem is on both sides but is worse on the left side. When I’m driving if I tap the brakes the squeaking goes away temporarily. Any suggestions what my problem could be? I am stumped

No Bags, Yet.

as you guys have readily expressed. "im not low enough." so help me out here, bags at the moment are just to expensive and an unreasonable excuse to spend that kind of money.

with that, I've already got BC Racing coilovers, and im almost certain I've maxed the rears.. but obviously want to go lower, I've discussed cutting springs *would rather not and have searched with no avail to try an find deeper cups that are compatible with my current set up.

please refrain from negativity, all I'm doing is looking for advice, or pointed towards what cups would work!

Thanks,

-RatchetB5

i can powder your metal bits!

spent the time to powder match the centercaps of the wheels, tedious job sand blasting those things but it was well worth it in my opinion!

next to more dedication to the trunk, needs paint matched asap!

Might get an B5 2.8 Manual

I’m considering getting a B5 A4. I’ve done a ton of research and there’s this pretty alright looking one nearby me that I’ve been HIGHLY considering. It seems pretty solid. It’s a 1998, Blue with Black interior, 2.8L V6, 5-speed with about 143k miles on the odometer.

I’ve always liked these cars. I think they have this charm to them and I don’t mind working on the because they don’t make them like they used to.

That being said, I want to know what I’m getting into.. I’ve researched that the 2.8 is pretty alright in terms of reliability and I don’t want to mod it too much as it’s gonna be a daily. But what else do you guys think I should need to know? Any advice? Tips? Or should I not even buy it at all and look for a 1.8t or a B6? Etc. Thank you all.

Help ! This is strange

Hello, i need help on my 1.9 tdi AFN Audi A4 B5 1998 8D2, i recently changed the turbo cartridge along with intake manifold gasket and exhaust manifold gasket and everything that came in the turbo mounting kit, with the valve cover gasket, you can see in the video my exact problem, the motor is turning but it is trembling excessively when everything is connected right, and when i go and loosen the high pressure lines it turns just fines, of course it doesn't start, it did 2 times while cold just after the repair, had to crank it more then usual, but since then nothing, when it did start however it ran just fine, no clunk no trembling no misfire nothing, if you have a clue on what's going on i'll listen, i just don't know where to start, could it be the fuel timing, could it be my injector's bad, could it be a sensor..
