Arizona is Sand dunes and the surface of mars
Why would anyone want to live in such an absolute inferno. No wonder Arizona has over 600 volcanos.
Barren, dusty, devoid of life.

What’s up with the trend in social media where they say Tucson Arizona on like YouTube or TikTok and show like all this grand nature or destination that clearly isn’t Tucson?
lol is the joke that they think Tucson is ugly cuz I don’t think it is… 😅
Controversial but The cost of living is worth it.
It has access to most everything you could want and just because someone wants to move there for the weather or for the world at their fingertips doesn’t make them wrong.
Just started at a new place where my employers (private equity) bought out a hospital.
I have an intern who barely does anything…
He dilly dallies all day long and barely does his discharge orders on patients so I have to tell him frequently on haiku.
He says he’s capped at 7 patients but he’s not even willing to see one more for the day or take on on as a learning opportunity.
There seems to be some friction developing but I mean the only way to learn is to apply yourself
What should I do with him? He’s threatened me about going to GME like the audacity when I’m just trying to teach him.
Let’s do the opposite.
Would love to hear stories about coming to Tucson and loving it.
Personally I have never felt
More home in any place I’ve lived.
I have lived in LA which def has great weather and beaches.
Ohio which was def green but idk I was never in nature there like I am here even with the dreadful summers.
The amount of places that are cool in proximity to here is amazing.
Like the road trips and adventures are so amazing out here.
For moving purposes.
The lower population density and only one highway to me is a huge blessing.
Coming from a place where you had to battle traffic especially east coast I.e florida Tucson is a breeze.
I know people hate the traffic here but idk I’ve never felt stressed here like I do back east. I’m sure many feel differently tho.
The food truly is amazing.
I’ve visited countless cities and states and somehow tucsons food stands out to me amongst all of them.
The nature is amazing. Like where else can you get the nature we have here. The sunsets are jaw dropping. The skies are like nowhere else here. The stars are so bright at night when you go outside and def more away from the city.
Mountains surround the city like a crown. It’s stunningly beautiful with some of the most biodiversity you’ll find probably in the world.
Controversial but the weather may be in the top 5 in the country if you value warm weather. The fault being the blistering heat. Outside of that it’s amazing.
There’s a culture and soul here that many cities completely lack.
Yes there are tons of negatives too. But I still think Tucson is a great place overall.
If hypothetical or real situations where you could move, what cities would you relocate to?
Oh how lucky people are to live in a place with such sheer magnitude of natural beauty… even if it’s blazing hot a lot lol
The perfect mix of a lot of factors in one vehicle. The YouTube reviewers always gave it outstanding reviews and Savagegeese has a recent video on how great it is.
If really lives up to the hype.
In fact, the only gripe I have is the fuel tank size and mpg.
I grew up partly in Florida and California and those 2 places are quite different.
When i first moved to Florida, it was affordable. People were nicer. Traffic was not as congested. Beach access was soooo much better.
Now… it’s like everyone’s trying to scam you.
Everyone’s hustling some kind of dollar out of you.
Airport rental car services charging for dropping off outside of their business hours… which is wild for an AIRPORT rental car company.
I’ve never seen stuff like this in other states.
The politics were a lot more mixed back in the day. Now we have unvaccinated kids running rampant.
The people are just soooo rude here. Native Floridians in contrast are nice but there just in this vile attitude permeating the place now.
North Florida especially panhandle I believe is a gem tho.
And st Pete I absolute love it just sucks it has to be surrounded by the rest of Florida.
Which one of these would you say has the best chance of cultivating a good quality of life? I’ve been dreaming of relocating to one of these from OK for a while now.
Any recs would be appreciated
After coming here from a terrible food city
I’m astonished that the restaurants I eat it are that damn good.
It’s actually funny when I see commenters on here seething about how there’s no Michelin stars or how far bigger metros have better food (Phoenix, LA, SD, etc) as if to them a perceived pos city like dirty T can’t have any food.
Listen idc about your statistics. Idc that Phoenix has more Balkan food options or Tajikistani restaurants (Shoutout to them).
All I know is when I eat at places here it’s so good, I have to pause to close my eyes and fall back a little in my chair fat and happy.
Ordered back in march after going to multiple dealerships this one agreed to do MSRP with no add ons.
So I get there to pick it up earlier this week and the salesman brings me back the paper with the price on it… 8k over MSRP not even as a line item but a whole base price 8k over.
I ask him about the price and his demeanor immediately changes. He acts like a “oh how’s that get there..”
He then tries me again..
then he says, “there’s nothing we can do about the markup it’s a requirement…”
I immediately show him our signed agreement where we had agreed to do MSRP
He then folds immediately.
Even upped the value on my trade after getting caught.
Crazy. Cool tuck tho
It may not be your criteria and that’s ok. But to chastise someone for wanting to move where there’s better food is insane.
Look I get it. You cook at home, groceries are pricey, food isn’t a high priority item for you and that makes a lot more places open up for you as potential places to move to.
But to hate on someone because they want to move to a place that has better food is insane to me.
A good food scene is valuable to me. It’s not so I want a bunch of niche cultures around me but food brings me joy.
I love for the Fridays where the local food place has 10/10 burgers or sushi and those instances really make me marvel at the craft of cooking.
Or it brings my family together. I love it when they try the food in my city and leave impressed and remember our time together because of it.
Food truly is an expression of the art and culture of a city. That’s why people associate cheesesteak with Philly or pizza with NYC.
I’ve lived in shitty food cities before and after moving to one that has amazing food, my QOL has gone up because it’s important to me.
It may not be for you and you might have different criteria and that’s ok too.
On a thread discussing where people would choose to live.
Mr AZ native thinks we’re whack
How long until it gets to the dealership usually?
