It's 4weeks too much for a first trip?
I've never been to Thailand, and my solo backpacking trip is planned for three weeks. I have more time than expected and am thinking of staying four weeks instead of three, since changing my return flight date would only cost me €150.
I enjoy meeting people and being independent, but I'm afraid it might be too much and that I'll regret staying longer instead of enjoying it. That's why I'm wondering if it would be too much for my first trip to Thailand. I would divide it roughly: five nights in Bangkok and the rest between the north and Koh Tao.
I can afford it financially, but I don't want to go broke either. I'll be staying in shared hostels, and apart from the open water diving course and a few excursions, I don't want to spend too much. I don't know what realistic daily expenses are these days without overspending in Thailand.
