I got tired of LaTeX, so I replaced it with markdown

ok i finally rage quit LaTeX and switched everything to Markdown with Doxy and i genuinely don't miss it

you write in markdown / html (for advanced designs), it outputs clean PDFs, handles pagination properly, has PlantUML / Mermaid / ECharts / Icons / Logos / Math and lots more

and you can even make slides from the same file

like that's it. no cryptic errors. no 40 second compile times. just writing

would love honest feedback

Got sick of LaTeX during my PFE, so I built an alternative.

Hey everyone,

While writing my PFE Report, I spent way too much time fighting with LaTeX just to get my formatting right. It was driving me crazy, so I ended up taking a detour and building my own alternative called Doxy.

It's a lightweight document editor designed to replace LaTeX and Overleaf. Instead of dealing with heavy syntax, you just write in plain Markdown and HTML, and it exports your work into PDF pages

It's still in early testing right now. If anyone here is currently working on their PFE or thesis , I’d love for you to try it out and give me an honest feedback

I built a markdown + HTML editor in the browser, I would love feedback

Hey everyone, I just launched Doxy a browser-based editor that combines markdown and HTML. Think Overleaf but without LaTeX.

It's free to write unlimited. Export to PDF. Paid plan adds AI + unlimited cloud storage. Works entirely in the browser.

Would genuinely love feedback from people in this community what's missing, what's broken, what would make you actually use it.
