Second Opinion

Im a couple of months post op now...still in a LOT of pain and still have limited motion. Have returned to work as I had to, work a physical job and it's not a good time. Have a lot of swelling around wrist and op site.

Pain now includes pre op pain but also new pain

Im waiting for my 2nd opinion referral to come through.

Anyone else have any experience of this or any advice-

Been doing exercises i was recommended here cos I got no follow up from my doc other than stitch removal.

Oh also I now cant cope with anything even my clothes touching my wrist

What can you tell about me?

Excuse the mistake i made.

What do you see here?

Jackdaws love my big sphinx of quartz.

Sphinx of quartz judge my vow - forgot it's supposed to be Sphynx of black quartz judge my vow.

Amd now that's not how you spell the riddle kind of Sphinx but the naked cat kind. That's the one with a y in it. Oops

What can you tell about me from my kind of crappy and pretty illegible handwriting?

Has it worked?

How do i know if the surgery has worked or not?

I'm 5 weeks post op and still in a lot of pain.

I have massively reduced range of motion now from before. It's really visibly swollen, tight feeling and if i flex my thumb down or try to pinch grip i feel so much pain.

I cant grab and hold things yet, like bottles and jars and have no strength to open things like that even if it wasnt REALLY sore.

How long should I still be in pain for? Will i ever get my range of motion back? Has my surgeon ruined my hand?

3 weeks post op. Pain down the length of my thumb

Im 3 weeks post op and have a lot of tightness still in my wrist where ive marked on the picture. But slightly more concerningly i have a LOT of pain, tightness and discomfort along the length of my thumb and around the marked knuckle.

Anyone else experiemce this? Im seeing my surgeon for a follow up next week so im going to ask him. But ive seen so many people on here say they had surgery and were practically pain free straight away.

I wasnt getting pain like this before the op is the concern. It was mostly wrist and towards the underside of my thumb not along the top side.
