New at bjj
I recently joined a gym in my area. They teach classes every day working on a technique or move and how to defend against it.
They haven't taught me any of the basic things, so right now I sort of maybe know what a butterfly is. And sitting on someone means mount. And they were working on the imanari roll last class.
Is this normal? Ive been to about 3 classes and I just feel like I have no foundation to build upon. If this is normal for gyms, I'll keep at it. I just didn't know if I should speak to someone about maybe learning some basics before attempting to leg lock someone.
