Trapped in Meta’s impossible support loop: Overturned violation still penalizing my account (w/ receipts from their broken AI assistant)

I wanted to share my ongoing nightmare with Meta Support to see if anyone has found a workaround, and to document how broken Meta’s automated moderation and support pipeline really is.

1. The Initial False Flag & Instant Appeal

  • Automated moderation wrongfully flagged and removed a standard post on my page.
  • I appealed immediately. On the exact same day, Meta reviewed the appeal, admitted in writing that their technology made a mistake, and marked the post restored.

2. The Ghost Penalty & Un-Appealable Loop Despite officially restoring the post, Meta’s backend system never cleared the underlying enforcement flag:

  • My account has been restricted and flagged as "Not Recommended" for over two full months.
  • Meanwhile, my public frontend (Account Status, Business Suite, and Support Inbox) all display "0 Violations / No Issues" with clean checkmarks.
  • Because the UI shows zero violations, no "Request Review" or "Appeal" button renders on my screen. I am completely locked out of appealing a penalty that shouldn't exist.

3. The Support Merry-Go-Round When trying to contact support to request a simple backend status refresh, I was hit with endless deflections:

  • The Paywall Push: Frontline agents repeatedly told me they couldn't help and instructed me to pay $11.99/month for Meta Verified just to reach another team.
  • The Missing Payment Macro: Payments Support saw an ad account had no card attached and insisted my entire monetization issue was just a missing ad payment method.
  • The Door-Slam Macro: Multiple agents closed tickets within minutes using canned templates stating they "cannot take further action on policy issues."

4. The AI Diagnostic Broke Character and Confirmed the Bug While running diagnostic steps in the Meta AI business support chat, the bot glitched out, printed raw JSON code on screen, and generated an official "Internal Profile Status: Backend Sync Error" diagnostic card:

  • It confirmed that active internal backend "Access Blocks" exist on my account.
  • It explicitly classified them as "orphaned blocks."
  • It formally stated in writing: "The user interface is currently failing to render active enforcements, which is preventing you from accessing standard appeal options."

5. The Ultimate Support Logic Failure After showing this diagnostic to support, a representative from the "Pro Team" responded with this unbelievable contradiction:

>

They admitted the post was restored after review, yet are forcing the account to serve out a 90-day penalty regardless.

Has anyone else dealt with orphaned access blocks after a successful appeal, or found a way to force a backend cache refresh without waiting out a 90-day automated timer?
