The lid is closed but I have to press down on it to trick it into thinking that the lid is closed. I researched it a little and found out that people have had this particular problem with this particular model. I have seen that some people have soldered the contacts but I am not confident enough in my soldering skills to actually attempt that and am afraid of ruining it. A small weight on top could work but there are other problems with doing that.
I have tried to use a safety pin to pull the contacts up to reach and may have made it worse.
I am thinking about using some small copper wire to thread through the contacts to bridge the gap. Someone sold it to us for cheap because they got frustrated with it for this reason and didn’t want to deal with it anymore.
Has anyone else had this issue and have you been able to fix it?
