She just keeps getting prettier
Turns out all she needed was a gentle grow light. She's so happy! Thanks to everyone here for sharing your tips and tricks.

I got these props off the floor at my local tool store and was shocked when most of them actually took off! But, uh, y'all, now I have no idea what to do with them 😆
I've watched a million YouTube videos but I'm still unclear at what size I should put them in their own lil pots. I don't even know what kind of succulents these are. Some kind of echeveria mix, I think? Is there a YouTube channel the experts in the house recommend?
Any and all feedback welcome!!
Wondering if there are any plant swaps or low-key sales in or around Marietta. Any time of year is cool. I have some props going crazy and I'm not going to be able to keep them all. Would love to see them go to a good home when they're rooted & ready!
I rescued this girl a little over a year ago. She was in terrible shape, dried out and dying. I didn't know anything about African violets, only that my mother said they were very difficult to grow and my great-grandfather had a huge, healthy collection of them, ha.
It took a lot of trial and error but I finally figured out what she liked. She's in a peat-heavy chunky soil mix and she gets bottom watered from a tray filled with leca. She likes her soil moist at all times, and she likes a gentle grow light that's on for 12 hours a day in summer and 8 in winter. She gets fertilized every few weeks.
I'm so excited to see her finally thriving.
I read this book in '91/'92, pretty sure I bought it at B. Dalton in the mall. I don't remember much about it. I know it was dramatic, something about a group of friends that go camping, and there was a love triangle of some kind between a girl and two guys. And I thought it was so good, I forced all my friends to read it and told them we should go on a camping trip summer after graduation! Ha
And so it begins. First post, open to feedback.
Roasted chicken breast with sauerkraut
Roasted brussel sprouts
Half an apple with 1tbs organic peanut butter
I'm still trying to figure out what foods do and don't trigger my GERD. Apple with peanut butter seems to help. Sauerkraut seems to help. Eating slowly. Chewing thoroughly. Made a smoothie last night -- that was a disaster. Stomach did not like.
Spouse is eliminating all processed sugars and seed oils to start. He skipped the peanut butter and went for a mix of whole almonds, pecans, and walnuts (not pictured).
Despite this wall of 12-foot windows, I had to get my gals a grow light. (It's a northern facing window in a fence forest so the room is actually really dark most of the day, *shrug*.)
Here's hoping this finally convinces my girl to grow non-tiny leaves!
Made this little grow box out of a rusted faux fireplace I repainted. This is my first time propping and so far it seems to be going ok. I love my lil plant babies so much 🥹 Can't thank everyone here enough for all the advice about soil mixes grow lights, etc. Not sure the grow light I've installed inside will be enough, we'll see. I have a few extras I can clamp on just in case, but for now they seem happy. If anyone sees anything I should be worried about, just say the word!
Went to The Oddities Museum in Atlanta the other day, a mixture of real and forged oddities, and I was overwhelmed by the weirdness. Of course, I thought of this sub. LOTS of deformed taxidermied animals and bizarre medical specimens. If you get the chance, I highly recommend a visit. It's not for the easily grossed out!
