Why are they suddenly having problems with their servers? (For dummies, lol)

Soo I'm pretty illiterate when it comes to everything technology, so to many of you this may seem like a stupid question, but I'm not afraid to admit that when it comes to things like this, I am in fact stupid! I also want to say that this isn't meant to be another post complaining. I'm one of the few Brawlhalla players that actually love the game! My question comes more from a curiosity standpoint!

But how come they suddenly have issues with their servers, and the connection issues, when they didn't have those issues before? Like, I don't understand how something used to work so well, then suddenly doesn't work as well. If it worked great before, how come it's suddenly flawed?

So as a child I was really good at it. I'm not trying to get all trauma-dumpy, but I was bullied a lot for being overweight, but hula hooping was the one thing I'd do in school where people would give me compliments!! It just gave me this sense of confidence and calm, that I really miss!

I don't remember why I stopped, I'm guessing I just grew out of it. But for the past couple of years I've been thinking about getting back into it, and after just coming across a video of so done hooping on TikTok, I decided that now is the time!!!

But I have a few questions and concerns around it. I haven't done it since I was a really small kid after all.

  1. I am obese, is this going to be an issue in any way?

  2. How do I know what size/weight hoop I should get? I'm assuming I should get a bigger one since I'm obese? I'm going to consider myself a beginner, even though I used to do it as a child! I have no clue if I still got it, and either way when I did it as a child I didn't go after any rules or guidance! I am doing this for fun, but I also want to try to actually take it seriously as a hobby!!

  3. I bruise easily, so I know there is no way I can avoid that, but is this going to be a problem? I can stick through pain, so im not worried about that, but I obviously dont want to cause any actual harm!!

I'm not necessarily interested in advice on getting MORE views, I would just like views from other parts of the world! I feel like the TikTok culture in my own country just isn't at all my type of content, and it gets so frustrating that the majority of my views are coming from my own country! I'm not tagging my location, and I'm not speaking my native language. I'm not talking about topics that relate to my country! I'm talking about art, music, worldwide lighthearted politics etc!

Would a VPN be the only option to change this? I'm not the smartest when it comes to technology and social media, so forgive me if it's a stupid question!!
