Applied everywhere and still can’t find a job in Edmonton

I’m honestly getting really frustrated trying to find a job right now and I don’t really know what my next move should be. I’ve mainly been applying for retail and food service jobs. I’ve applied online to so many places, called stores, handed in resumes in person, and followed up, but I’m barely hearing back from anyone. I’m trying really hard because I need to save money for university since I’ll be moving out of the city soon, and it’s starting to stress me out a lot. Does anyone know places in Edmonton that are actually hiring right now for retail or food service? Or does anyone have advice on what else I should be doing? I’m open to pretty much anything at this point. I’d really appreciate any advice because I feel kind of stuck right now.

Need honest opinions about RDP nursing + transferring to UofA

Hi! I’m starting nursing at RDP in Fall 2026 and I’ve honestly been pretty nervous about the transfer process to UofA afterward. I’ve heard really mixed things about the program, staff, and how easy the transfer actually is, so I wanted to hear from people who’ve experienced it themselves. If you transferred from RDP nursing to UofA (or know someone who did), was the process pretty straightforward? Did you feel prepared academically after transferring? Were there any issues with credits or anything else. I think I’ve just been stressing myself out reading different opinions online, so I’d really appreciate hearing honest experiences/advice. Thank you :)
