Co Infections

I finished my course of antibiotics (14 days doxy and 3g of azithromycin) on Sunday 5/17. I felt great on doxycycline and the then about 2 days after the azithromycin my bladder pressure/urgency/urethra pain came back. I am already in pelvic floor pt (have been for awhile for previous urea infection about 2 years ago), but she said that my muscles are definitely feeling worse, so I’m hoping that’s where my symptoms are coming from. My discharge is not yellow anymore, but still have a lot of it.

Question though, can I do a microgendx test to look for co infections only a week after treatment? Not as a TOC. Or will urea still show up since I just finished treatment?

I had both UU and UP, had it for about 3 weeks when I started treating.

Question again

I posted a couple of weeks ago about how I am likely going to have to take moxifloxacin for a ureaplasma infection, as I can’t take doxycycline, Minocycline or tetracycline. I talked to my dr more and we did a week of clarithromycin, and I am still testing positive.

I am going to start the moxifloxacin in about a week, and as of right now I have a few things I’m going to start taking, and wanted any advice you wonderfully knowledgeable people have.

I have bought NAC, ALA, magnesium (a combo of three types), potassium, and vitamin C. I am planning on taking those 12 hours apart from the moxi. I am also going to increase my water intake significantly, and rest as much as possible. No working out, just walking what is absolutely necessary for my office job.

I am not on any sort of steroid, and I will also not take any nsaids.

Am I missing anything?

I tested positive for UU and UP. I’ve read that UP tends to be resistant to azithromycin, so is it best to do doxy (I have 14 days, currently on day 6) and then 2.5 g of azithromycin or 1 week of moxi? I am scared of moxi, but due to health issues, antibiotics are very hard for me to take in general so I want the best chance of getting rid of it the first time.

Also, I read to not eat or drink dairy with the treatment, is that just within a couple hours of taking the meds? Or cut it out completely?
