Hey guys, I could really use some advice or help.

I’m currently an undergraduate at OUSL. As many of you know, the Open University’s ODL (Open and Distance Learning) system makes it possible to work while pursuing a degree, which is one of the reasons I chose OUSL.

The problem is that I’ve been actively looking for a job, but I’m having absolutely no luck so far. I’ve tried TopJobs and applied for various positions, including online tutoring and other part-time opportunities, but I haven’t been able to land anything.

I’m honestly at a point where I really need some income. Financially, things are pretty bad for me right now, and my personal life is also quite a mess. I’m trying my best to get myself back on track, but finding a job has been much harder than I expected.

If anyone here knows of any part-time jobs, remote jobs, online tutoring opportunities, internships, freelance work, or even companies/labs that are willing to hire undergraduates, I’d genuinely appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction.

Even if you don’t have a job opportunity, advice on where/how an undergraduate like me can realistically find work would mean a lot.

I know this isn't really suitable for this sub, but I genuinely need some help and guidance.

I've been working part time for years. It's a toxic and sometimes a bit racist place with a very low salary, but I somehow managed to survive and save some money for my degree. I don't have a father or much family support, and it's a long story that I honestly just want to forget.

Recently I've been struggling a bit with my degree fees and other expenses. I like to do freelance work or any other possible work to earn a bit more money so I can support my studies and my family.

I haven't written my full story here because it's a lot, but I hope you guys can understand my situation.

If anyone knows about genuine freelance/remote work opportunities, part-time jobs, or can give me some proper guidance on how I can earn a little extra alongside my studies, I'd really appreciate it. Even if you can just point me in the right direction, it would mean a lot to me.
