If Inazuma Eleven was script doctored by those writers, how it would have been like?
George Cheung in Turbulence (1997)
If you wanna know where is he, he’s the third guy on the front right
What’s your opinion of Shiho Terada’s score for Inazuma Eleven GO?
Personally I find it very amazing. Her style is like 1990s Hollywood blockbuster movie. Definitely a major upgrade from Yasunori Mitsuda’s score for the original series. This soundtrack from the GO series makes John Williams, Alan Silvestri, Jerry Goldsmith, Danny Elfman, Joe Hisaishi, Shirley Walker and Hans Zimmer look like little babies. Why they don’t hire composers that wrote masterpieces like this?
Did you know that the tank used for Earth Song in the HIStory Tour has a special Easter egg?
If you watched the footage of early 1996 rehearsals at Los Angeles or Florida, you’ll discover that the tank that was used usually on Earth Song during the HIStory Tour has a California license plate on the back that says “DNGROUS”.
After hearing Peter Cullen’s passing, I immediately think that he would have been awesome as both Kageno Jin and Mikado Haruma
Legendary Transformers alumni Peter Cullen unfortunately passed away (but also other celebrities that you’re aware of).
If the English dub of Inazuma Eleven had a bigger budget, I think voicing Kageno Jin/Jim Wraith would be scary but awesome at the same time. He could have channeled a mixture of both Optimus Prime and Eeyore
Also he could have voiced Mikado Haruma/Rex Remington. He would have delivered a commanding presence as the captain of Teikoku Gauken/Royal Academy in the GO era
RIP Tim Curry (Dr. Yevgeni Petrov)
Another Jack Ryan alumni is passed away.
“You’ll receive the Order of Lenin for this, Captain!”
In Adaptation (2002), if you zoom in to Robert McKee’s mug, it has printed the 1993 Columbia Pictures logo, considering that the movie was distributed by Columbia itself
HEAR ME OUT!
Jack Black could have been an awesome Saginuma as a teenager during the Alius Academy days, while Tommy Lee Jones could have channeled his William Strannix role to the adult Saginuma in GO. This would have a big missed opportunity in terms of casting.
If Tachiagaryo (Season 1 theme of Inazuma Eleven) had an English version performed by a well known singer, who could have performed?
My best picks would be:
- Jaret Reddick (Bowling for Soup) who performed the theme of Phineas and Ferb
- Dennis St. James, known for providing his vocals on the Sega videogame Daytona USA 2
- Steve Harwell (Smash Mouth)
- Dexter Holland (Offspring)
So what’s your opinion on this NBC disaster film?
The special effects look really good for a TV movie. I can’t believe that the writer of Child’s Play directed this!
Colm Meaney, Stephen Gregory Foster and James Lancaster in Die Hard 2: Die Harder (1990)
Colm Meaney (Under Siege, Con Air, Layer Cake, Star Trek: The Next Generation/Deep Space Nine) plays the Windsor 114 pilot
Stephen Gregory Foster (The Dead Pit, Deadlock) plays the Windsor 114 co-pilot
James Lancaster (Titanic, Gettysburg, Days of Our Lifes) played the Windsor 114 navigator
Inazuma Eleven GO on NBC - Fanmade promo poster
Imagine if NBC got the rights to distribute the Inazuma Eleven series in the US, with an all-Star casting
Inazuma Eleven on NBC - Fanmade promo poster
Imagine if NBC aired the show probably around 2009, maybe with an all-star casting
What if Inazuma Eleven was broadcasted on NBC in 2009?
I’ve been thinking about an alternate timeline where Inazuma Eleven didn’t premiere on Disney XD or Cartoon Network in the West, but instead aired on NBC as part of a Saturday morning programming block in 2009.
Here’s how I imagine it:
The series gets a big marketing push as NBC’s flagship action-comedy cartoon, similar to how networks promoted shows like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or Pokémon.
The English dub would probably have a more Americanized cast and script, while still keeping the soccer theme (although I could see them calling it “soccer” instead of “football” throughout)
One thing I think would have been interesting is the voice cast. If NBC had commissioned its own dub in 2009, I could imagine several well-known American voice actors—or even a few live-action actors like Willem Dafoe or Robert Redford—joining the project, like Yuri Lowenthal as Endou, Crispin Freeman as Gouenji, James Arnold Taylor as Kidou
Would it have been more successful than the version we actually got in the West?
How do you think American audiences in 2009 would have reacted to a soccer-focused anime?
