I’m the founder of Revolt Industry, a platform I’m building to help manga and comic creators publish and monetise their work while retaining ownership of their intellectual property.

The vision is to create a creator-first ecosystem that combines digital & physical publishing, community discovery, and multiple revenue streams for independent artists.

Over the past year I’ve been developing the concept, validating it with creators, and building the business model. I’m now looking to connect with angel investors and experienced founders who are interested in the creator economy, publishing, or entertainment technology.

I’m not looking for commitments through Reddit. My goal is to connect with people who are willing to review the concept, provide feedback, or discuss whether it could be a fit for future investment.

I’ve spent the last year building a platform called Revolt Industry because I kept seeing talented creators sign publishing deals that required them to give up control of their intellectual property.

The platform is being built around a few core ideas:

Creators keep ownership of their IP.
Multiple ways to earn revenue from their work.
A place where readers can discover independent manga and comics.
A community that helps creators grow instead of locking their work behind contracts.

I’m still in the early stages and I’m looking for artists, writers, and readers who’d be interested in shaping what this becomes.

I enjoy reading on WEBTOON, but there are a few features that they could implement to improve their platform. What features would you like to see implemented (let’s hope they see this.)?

I’m a Manga artist from London, and I recently posted on a sub asking for some feedback, et cetera and I received some comments saying that I can’t call myself a manga artist because I’m not Japanese and I wanted to hear your thoughts on this because I am of the view that if it looks like Manga then it should be considered manga, regardless of your location.
