Got no real-life friends to share this with, and my YouTube channel is pretty dead, so sometimes I’m sharing my Pokémon Champions moments here to connect with fellow off-meta enjoyers!

​Since Reg M-B is sticking around for another month, I wanted to try something fun. Whimsicott and Farigiraf are everywhere for speed control—one almost always sets up Tailwind, and the other is super hard to OHKO. That’s where Liepard caught my eye: using Copycat to turn the opponent's Speed Control against them is so satisfying! In fact, this strat actually helped me reach Master Ball Tier 2 at some point.

​Disclaimer: Resetting Farigiraf’s Trick Room isn't 100% reliable—opponents can shut it down with Helping Hand or Protect or any piority move. But hey, at least we have options to play against Farigiraf!

I already used Protect on Raichu the previous turn, ̶s̶o̶ ̶I̶ ̶p̶r̶e̶d̶i̶c̶t̶ ̶E̶n̶c̶o̶r̶e̶ ̶i̶n̶c̶o̶m̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶f̶r̶o̶m̶ ̶o̶p̶p̶o̶n̶e̶n̶t̶ ̶W̶h̶i̶m̶s̶i̶c̶o̶t̶t̶ so I wanna keep my Raichu alive because Raichu is my Win Condition since they have Staraptor in the back.

I was about to switch my Raichu out for Incineroar to drop Garchomp's Atk

They know my Tsareena has Triple Axel

Then the internet went down

Guess what my Raichu decided to do

​I got so sick of the Farigiraf/Incineroar lead that I built this Tsareena/Incineroar lead specifically to delete Farigiraf on Turn 1.

​The catch is, I never met that matchup again after finishing the build, lol.

​The Strategy:

​Tsareena: Prevents the opponent's Incineroar from using Fake Out.

​Fling: Used not for the flinch, but to pop Farigiraf’s Focus Sash or Colbur Berry. This also triggers the double damage of my Incineroar's Assurance.

​Life Orb: Ensures even the bulkiest Farigiraf cannot survive Incineroar's attack, even after the -1 Attack drop from the opponent's Intimidate.

​Absolutely worth the effort. Min-maxing is fun, I guess.

Update: It's not shown in the clip, but if you have Aerodactyl in the back, you can just do U-turn into Farigiraf to breaking the Sash, bring in Aerodactyl with Unnerve ability that will prevent Farigiraf from eating its Colbur Berry, giving you more options for Tsareena (highly recommend running Triple Axel with Wide Lens)

*Haven't tested it yet but if you don't like wasting Life Orb on Incineroar, Unovan Zoroark + Life Orb with Night Daze can do the same thing to Farigiraf.

I originally brought a Mono Electric team just for the memes, but Pikachu decided he wanted to be Ash's Pikachu today. Even after getting hard-countered by a Venusaur/Sableye Lead and Light Screen, this absolute main character converted a losing game into a clean Quad-kill.

I will never doubt Anime logic again.
