2024 calligraphy parked outside when a fast moving monsoon blew in. Strong hail hit during the storm. No glass damage but my white vehicle has never resembled a golf ball more than it does now. Insurance repair estimate is pushing $10k. These cars dent easily, keep this in mind and if you have a chance to get your car under cover when a storm hits consider doing so!

Let me clarify a bit further as my post seems to indicate to some that I was unaware of hail damaging cars. My friends car was parked next to mine. He owns a different make of car, a much more expensive car. He had $1000 worth of damage that took 1 day to repair. My damage estimate is 10 times his, and my repair estimate time is 1-2 weeks. Yes, hail damages all cars. But apparently if you drive a thin skinned Hyundai you may get more than you bargain for.

Newbie cruiser, just finished one cruise and already booked the next. I am hoping for clarity on tipping practices. I assume that outside of beverage packages all beverages are charged a la carte to the account and it clearly states the fee includes the 20% gratuity.

Given this, is it wrong to assume that no other tipping is needed or expected? I was noticing other travelers adding additional gratuities at both bars and restaurants. Help me to understand please.

I don't frequent the AC lounges frequently when I travel, but today was a longer than usual early morning layover and I decided to grab a bite to eat. The seat I selected happened to be near the check in counter and I was amazed at the amount of interaction the staff had with travelers. What surprised me the most was by far the most frequent interaction was explaining to people that they were not eligible to access the lounge. Over and over, people find their way to the counter, seemingly surprised that their status, or their boarding pass, or their friend of a friend status does not qualify them for entry. I now wonder if these employees go through this each and every day, always with a smile and a kind explanation. I can tell you I left the lounge with a whole new level of appreciation for these hard working people.
