I had to say goodbye to the best boy suddenly today. I will miss him so much.

Today I went from playing with my cat to him suddenly losing strength in his back legs. I rushed him to the vet and by the time we got there, he couldn’t walk anymore. The vet said it was likely a blood clot that was in his heart and just happened to move and settle at the base of his spine where his legs meet the spine. He was in a lot of pain and there really wasn’t anything to be done for him. So, I had to make the heart wrenching decision to put him to sleep. He died peacefully at least. He was only a year old and I am devastated.

He loved blanket forts, chasing fireflies, long walks in the woods, snuggling between my legs, eating dead bugs from spiderwebs, cardboard boxes, and brown paper packaging.

So long my lovely, wonderful boy. I will miss you always.

Edit: Thank you everyone for your kind words. I am still in shock and my feet are cold (that is where he slept mostly), but I am looking through all his pictures/videos and it helps. I am really glad I was camera happy with him.

Also, his name was Dizzy (after Dizzy Gillespie because of his soul patch).

Frayed power lines and how to determine who is responsible to fix them.

Hi all!

I have had fraying power lines on my property for years now. I called our cable/phone provider and they came out, but they weren’t their lines. I am thinking it might be an old phone line?

It is one of the bottom wires connected to the electrical poles so according to a power line chart it should be phone or cable. Any suggestions to find out who the line belongs to so I can get it fixed or removed? It is also fraying on my neighbor’s side as well.
