Is it just me, or are the cases and look of shifter watches getting better, but the movements are getting worse? A few months ago, I had to fight with Michael Travis about a U1 GMT that came dead on arrival. And now with a no date Submariner that the crown won't pop out to wind. He wants me to send it to his "partner " here in the States to get "fixed" on my dime, probably. A "Miyota " movement should be better out of the box.

Why is it so hard to remove the bracelet on a 41mm Submariner? Any tips, tricks or tools? I have several different removal tools and they all seem to work just fine on any and every other watch I work on. Except... the Submariner. WTH!

Has anyone tried to or actually put a quartz movement in a U1 Sub? Just wondering if it could be done.

Does anybody have a U1 Submariner bracelet for sale. I need one. Thank you!
