I’d like to read the entire Dark Reign saga in order, but because of the scope of the event, I’m not sure of the order to read of the collected volumes. Can anyone assist? Also, is there any mandatory reading needed to set it up?

I get that ship respawns, but do the benefits outweigh the annoyance? The two times I’ve used it so far it seems like the answer is no.
