It was a pretty glorious Friday. Tried a new sandwich place, skated down Antonio Blvd a ways, made my way to a Starbucks, and got beat up on the way home for skating by the curb, against traffic. The old guy in the Subaru was pissed off because I was apparently was in his parking spot. He was so pissed off, honking, flipping the bird, etc that I stopped and just asked “hey man, why r u so po’d”. I didn’t see his adult son (30s maybe) walk up. He pushed/punched me in the neck to get me away from his dad, I grabbed his shirt, and they kicked the shit outta me. i ended up on the ground. I don’t know if it was the dad or son, but one of them soccer kicked the right side of my head and the stars came out. OC sheriff’s and firefighters showed up pretty quick. I just wanted to go home. But turns out I was having a heart attack. Haha

Possible bypass surgery? Don’t know yet. I feel like shit @ Mission Cardiac ICU and I don’t know where my deck is.

Brethren RSMr’s. I bought this metal picnic table from Lowe’s years ago when the kidz would come over for bbq’s. Now they’re in their 20’s and busy so I don’t need the table anymore. I’m pretty sure it was over $1K when new but if you can pick it up, it’s yours. I have an SUV if you’re in need of a local delivery. Happy Sunday!

Oh brethren skate-o-holics. Today was amazing, a gentle breeze to make me feel like I was goin fast, clear sidewalks, easy intersection transitions, and a playlist of 80’s medium tempo awesomeness that went perfect with the carve.

Sounds crazy but that’s a 30minute chill ride and there’s only 2 sections you have to push. Glorious!

I’m still using Lyft/Uber to get home but $20 is worth it.

Just a reminder to my brethren old skaters…

1. Our bodyparts are old
2. I overused something called an Achilles tendon
3. Penetrex is my new favorite for soreness

Today was pretty glorious. I skated Antonio Pkwy from Santa Margarita Pkwy to Oso Pkwy - 4.6 miles of gentle downhill and a wide sidewalk and easy crosswalks. The music shuffle was over the top awesome, Boston, Fleetwood Mac, Van Halen… the casual carving/slalom. Almost 5miles of bliss!
The big problem is no bus back and Lyft went from $15 last week to $25 this week. I feel like those guys that pay big $$$s for man-made waves
My ankles are throbbing but I can’t get rid of the smile on my face.

Skating to lunch… blaming my daughters 😉
