[Spoiler] Black Flag, sequence 8, can someone explain the logic here?

How on earth did Calico Jack lead a mutiny against me? He's not even on my ship? What did Adé have to say about all this?

I realised while typing this that the Adé was the guy he intended to sell in Kingston, I assumed he was talking about the people on the slave ship since the guy he was talking to didn't have any lines.

I love this so much, Late game spoilers.

For context in this scene the philosophers of Athens (and Kasandra) are discussing a plan to discredit Cleon.

In his play "Peace" Aristophanes describes a scene where War is grinding the nations of the world in his mortar but he realises he hasn't got a pestle. So he sends his servant Tumult to Athens to fetch one. Tumult returns and says "Alas! the Athenians have lost their pestle—the tanner, who ground Greece to powder."

So War sends Tumult to Sparta for one and he returns "The Spartans too have lost their pestle... They had lent it to their allies in Thrace, who have lost it for them."

The first reference might seem a bit vague but the second might make it a bit more clear. Cleon was the son of a tanner and Brasidas was "leant to Thrace" where he died in the Battle of Amphipolis.

Aristophanes is saying that it was only the eagerness for war of these two men that was actually keeping the war going, in real life they were both dead at this point, and he was proven right when ten days after the play was performed the treaty of Nicias was signed ending the Peloponnesian War... ...for six years. <_<

I feel like I'm not explaining it very well but I was giddy when I saw that line.

A demigod?

Even early on people refer to Kassandra and Deimos as demigods, Markos and a few other people call Kassandra a demigod, Deimos calls himself a demigod.

I feel like I missed something there, are they referring to the fact that Leonidas' claimed to be descended from Heracles? Does Markos know who Kassandra's grandfather was? Are you stil a demigod if you're the ...20th great grandchild of a demigod? Or would that be a demisemihemi...god?

[spoiler] The Silver Islands quest chain feels kind of weird.

It starts with Barnabas introducing you to the island in a cutscene, something that doesn't happen for every island or area you visit, it feels like they put in everything that shows up at different points of the game - branching questlines, a cultist, navel battles, a romantic interest, recruiting a lieutenant after a quest, and a conquest battle. Socrates makes a cameo for some reason, and then it closes off neatly when you give a speech and there's another cutscene.

Over all it really feels like it was some sort of vertical slice of the game, intended for some press build or demo, but as far as I know that never existed and it's too long for a show-floor demo for a trade show.

Maybe I'm crazy but that's how it feels to me.

What did Kethric know?

I'm a bit confused what Kethric was thinking in this moment, he recognizes Dark Urge but lets it pass almost without comment. Oh, here's the dead chosen of Bhaal. I've been working with Orin instead for however long but I'm sure this is fine. I'll carry on regardless.

It bugs me that this is the closest I think I can get to my ideal Landsknecht

I can't find any shoes with hose.

If the various of actons were double dyable that might be better (the ones with the shape I prefer are all light colours with one dye channel)

Nothing quite captures the fancy floppy feather hats.

It's like 80% of the way there but I can't quite manage it. I don't suppose anyone knows of a solution to my hat or shoe woes do they?
